Good price could become pricey if you want a few. Remember that to get best use you will need a monthly subscription to nest aware
Good price. Ordered as had my eyes on prices for a while now and amazon don't sell these, so won't be on Amazon Prime day either
Not sure why people vote this down? :/
If it's not for you, don't vote. It's expensive but this is the cheapest price I've seen. I wish people come and say there's a better price, so this is not a deal rather than just vote cold. I am sure if you are after one of these, it's a brilliant proce.
Ordered thanks! and voted hot - great price

They always vote this camera down, nobody ever says why. It's ridiculous.
This is easily the cheapest I've seen it. Heat.

It’s not just a case of lowest price for a specific product. There is also the question of value.
I haven’t voted. However I would vote cold. £250 is still too much for a device that requires a subscription to get the best from. Recurring revenue for a manufacturer should subsidise a products cost.

If you then factor in most people would probably want 2 or 3 it becomes proper CCTV territory with a DVR and PoE cabling. These nest cameras still need power so a cable run isn’t that much more for a PoE system.

I guess question of value is relative. Someone who is really invested into the google/nest eco system, this is fantastic value. I guess for someone else may not so much.
Also you get what you pay for. These IQ cameras are really really good. You are not going to get a better outdoor camera for this sort of price.
Does anyone know if the Arlo2 is better?

No -arlo camera quality not as good - arlo doesn’t do continuous recording either only on alerts
People who vote this down are ridiculous, a Ferrari is out of my price bracket even reduced from £800k to £100k... I wouldn’t vote it cold because I can buy a Focus for £15k. Great deal, best price I’ve seen it at for a while for the IQ.

On that thinking, all cars are bad value because you have to pay additionally insurance, road tax etc

Which is why I didn’t vote. I see it’s a cheap for those who want it but don’t rate the value, negating the saving in my opinion.

Nonsense. The car manufacturers are not the ones benefiting from the additional service requirements.
Think of it more like a mobile phone. Buy it on contract, you expect the handset and line rental to be cheaper than both bought separately. The line rental subsidises the handset.
That isn’t the case here.

Going with your analogy, think of this as buying the phone upfront with cash and using a PAYG sim for the calls, texts and internet.
Fundamental problem with HUKD is that it doesn’t stipulate how people should vote. Therefore deal like this are flooded with opinion based voting as to whether they like/hate the product/brand/company selling it etc etc.

Personally I want to come on here and know if it’s the best deal.

I’ll go elsewhere for opinion / reviews on whether it’s the best.

Instead these days on here, more than ever, I have to figure out whether cold voted products are actually a decent price for the product I am happy to spend my money on.
