Cross posting info I posted in other nest hello threads. Hope this helps.
I self wired my nest hello, and it cost me less than £25.
I'm moderately handy but no specialist tools are required, but you'll need screwdrivers and a drill (unless there is pre-existing bell where you can reuse hole etc)

Here are the details:

transfomer £10 - amazon.co.uk/gp/…SLE

bell £9 - amazon.co.uk/gp/…Z0G --- (this is rated at 8vac but working fine on 12vac)
BTW this was my family preference for a traditional buzzer bell. You can get ding-dong etc if preferred like this: amazon.co.uk/Fri…YYS

wire £4 - amazon.co.uk/gp/…3T2

Plus I needed less than 1 meter of mains flex and a plug that i had already.

Love to get one but I hate wires on show.
Is the Google Pixel phone in the photo included?

Agree
My transformer and bell are all mounted on the skirting and hidden by a cabinet. Bell still sounds loud.
Is this better than ring pro? please

Perfect if you don’t need a wired bell/chime.
Ie using google home device as chime
Don't forget your CCTV in operation signs and probably a good idea to have your GDPR contact email to save people having to ask.
how does this compare to ring?
Code not valid?
Promo code is invalid

Any chance of a diagram how you wired it up?
Can any users confirm if there is any delay in receiving the notifications, its 4 times the price of my current bell but this does look good.

Is this better than ring pro? please

I’ve got the ring pro and my neighbour has the nest (same house type). The ring is utter crap, poor Wi-fi, slow as anything and the chime has to have internet to work.

My neighbour wired his nest to a normal doorbell (I did this with the ring in the end as I was missing people) and says he’s not had any issues.

Ring and Argos have been useless.

Best of luck when you come to wire it. I suggest checking out what you've got 1st, see if it's feasable (which it proly won't) then just leave it as is.
