Good price. Got mine a little bit ago with JL price match for 173. Really pleased with it and the camera quality is pretty impressive.

Are you not worried some scrote steals it?

Always a risk, not worried about it though. Also is mains wired this one so they'd get a shock if they tried to get it lol
Good price. Heat added:)
Been using mine for a few months. Very pleased with the quality and reliability of the door bell. Bonus is the video also comes up in the google home hub, when someone presses the door bell.
DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE AN iPhone. If someone is on your drive or someone rings your bell, you only get a standard Tri Tone alert on your iPhone there is no way to change this so basically you do not hear it so miss your car being nicked and also the parcel at the door Nest are aware of this and do not reply to customers or care.
Did they ever fix the horrendous delay on these (time taken from someone ringing your bell to it actually notifying you)?

I recall they denied the issue for months until finally saying they were aware.

What do you want your iPhone to do exactly? It alerts you when it spots someone or someone rings the doorbell, not sure what else it can do?

I have an iPhone. You get an alert. Yes you can't change it but what difference would it make if it were any other tone? Do you want a red alert sound every time it detects something to worry you every time someone comes do deliver a parcel. It does everything I want and I'll be honest if I was concerned about my car being stolen I wouldn't be installing a doorbell with a camera I'd be installing a cctv system.

Try reading the Nest forum then and see how many have complained....

Really?! I prefer just a standard alert sound.

Yes i would like to hear it not just think its an email and to be honest it records 24/7 so it is the same as a CCTV system...

It might record 24/7 but its purpose isn't to be a cctv system and if that is why you have it it isn't a wonder why you are disappointed. As for your forum post. Yes there are lots that have posted their disappointment but there will likely be lots more that don't post the fact they are happy.

Look you don’t agree i get that but the door bell does not alert you that you can hear if there is a parcel etc like many people have said on the forum. Glad your happy with yours i am not as many other people.

That's the point. It does alert alert you. You just don't like the alert you get. The tri tone works perfectly fine for me. It just isn't the product for you it seems.
I have this and is very happy with it. The tone sound argument is bit silly as after all its a notification from an app. I like the fact that its fast with minimal lag between ring and notification. I also have apple watch so each notification when tapped actually shows a picture.

Not when you miss parcels, during the day and people on the drive at night. Doorbells such as Ring give you a nice alert that you can hear. Nest does not and I have had both wish i had stayed with Ring.

Also in relation to car getting stolen part, the doorbell would alert you (if you could hear the alert....) then call police etc at time of offence but if you had CCTV you could only view the following day. So i would say the doorbell is a very good way to try and alert you at the time and also record it. So I would say you are wrong. But glad you are happy with your as many are not.

You really feel the need to be 'Right' in this. The only thing that is the issue is you don't like the alert tone, which is fair enough. That in itself doesn't make it a bad alert tone. And FYI, you can view CCTV as instantly as this so in that instance you are definitely wrong. Good luck getting a ring doorbell back ASAP 🤞🏼

No just bored today 😘 um how do you view cctv instantly if you don’t know that you car is being nicked? As i said before you have my opinion and I have mine. Have a good day mate and enjoy your doorbell as at least it works for you.
Cold until google sort out their commitment to “works with nest” program
Loving mine - the 1 - 2 second lag a little annoying however. Hooked mine up to google home mini so in a remote room of my house I can hear who is at the door via an announcement. Great quality.
Can anyone post how you installed these if you didn't and still don't have a wired doorbell set up?

Bit of a google search gave me this.

google.co.uk/amp…amp

Also the transformer you need

screwfix.com/p/b…BwE

Also you can use this as the power adaptor

amazon.co.uk/Pow…c=1

Hope that helps. I am sure if you dip in to the wonderful world of YouTube, there will be a nice person doing an installation video.

Thanks. 🙇
I have updated the new code.
been waiting for a deal on the nest hello and at this price it is perfect apparently you can configure the google mini to work as a bell or even have your google home to bell or say someone is at the door.
I think 5 days subscription is enough to be fair and the plus is that it is constantly recording!
the install is going to be fun

I just bought one myself. Professional installation will cost you £100- plus. I was looking at this on Amazon. Seems like a pretty straightforward adaptor.
amazon.co.uk/Pow…c=
If you have the ability then this is what I did to wire mine up as I wanted an all-in-one solution rather than using a mains socket or running more cables. It went perfectly and I had no buzz:
