Stupid????? Shocking how quickly u send a deal to the cleaners. What is stupid about this deal? If deal is right as Op is saying, what prevent anyone from signing up as a pro, get the first unit for the price, installing and moving on? Op gains nothing from this post. Just helping the community. This is what this community is all about

Your link drops you on the US website. No sign of the deal. How much is nest pro and what does it give you?
Is this everything you need in the offer to connect to your heating system, or do you need a hub etc?
And are Nest better than Hive?

All you need. I bave never used Hive but Nest works really well for me. Also works with Amazon Echo devices. Heat from me
Signed up as a nest pro cheers
Says 219 do u need to use a code
Just wondering which is best.
I have a few Alexa devices and TP plugs, hue bulbs etc...this was going to be my next purchase but would sooner pay the extra if Nest is better.

Is this not a deal for professional installers only? Hence the part about for personal use.
Nest Pro is for companies who install the Nest Thermostat.

The nest learns your behaviour pattern and adjusts the heating automatically for you. Or you can set a schedule up, which is the same as hive.

Personally I prefer the look of the nest
ive got hive in my current house but the house im renovating will have nest. dont think the learning thing will work for my family as lots of goings and comings at different times. plumber is a nest installer so just going with nest, just to make life easy to connect it all up.
but yeah, hive heating, or rather remote control of heating has been my best purchase, as a family. totally changed everything for us. we can be out and about and switch on the heating when we are ready for it to come on and not like before where we set it up and if we get home late, house might have got cold again. got it set up with google home so can just speak to the phone whilst driving to switch it on/off.

My first sentence was a question. You know what "?" means right?

My second sentence contains the word "seems". You know what that means right?

Have you managed to sign up as a pro? Have you picked up the unit for 139? Have you? Well? Are you a qualified electrician? Are most people on this forum?

Actually, I will tell you why I was erked at this deal.

Lots of people are following "nest" deals. Lots of people are waiting for them to come down in price. This deal has triggered the keywords alert and it's not actually obtainable, unless you are a professional installer. If it was, this deal would be over 1000 degrees by now. As it is, it just wasted my time and excitement
So I’d be installing my 1st 99 Thermostats in Just my Undies before they deem me fit to supply me with any trousers.

“ How to earn rewards
For every Nest Thermostat with your Nest Pro ID entered, you’ll earn points to use on Jobman workwear. You choose the Jobman workwear to spend your points on.
Examples of what you could choose:
Install 10 thermostats, get a pair of kneepads.
Install 25 thermostats, get a fleece jacket.
Install 50 thermostats, get a polo shirt.
Install 100 thermostats, get trousers and a pair of kneepads.”

what a joke. !!!!

As you don't own any trousers now, that's a good incentive for you

cold, its an unobtainable "deal" unless you are a pro, which the majority of the people on this site will not be. waste of time.

As I understand it, anyone can sign themselves up as a 'pro,' then order the device kit at the stated price. Not sure what the confusion is?
