Saw this earlier today but no delivery and no stock anywhere near me in London. Guess it's pretty limited nationwide.

Google's Black Friday offers will see the nest drop to this price anyway as they are going to have £50 off
It's a good price, but seem to have no stock anywhere near me. As stated will be the same price on the Google store come Friday.
Hoping these will drop to the £150 range sometime soon.
Can anyone advise on whether you need a hub for these like you do with Hive? Are there any other advantages over Hive?

Yeah, or if you have Google home, just ask Google to turn the heating on.

I haven't got one but tempted to get one,

I purchased a good quality solid stand off eBay for under £10.

You can also control it directly via the nest thermostat.

In my view there are only disadvantages with Nest.

The Thermostat is USB powered which means it needs to remain plugged in, not a big deal if you buy the stand (it's never truly mobile if it needs plugging in) but if you want it mounted on a wall it's a pain to get power cable to be invisible, Hive on the other hand just has 2 x AA batteries and can be mounted anywhere or on the stand, hive is truly mobile as it does not need plugging in.

The second pain is the learning, fine if you have a regular schedule but anything out of the ordinary or having a holiday, guests stay and it starts to learn a new schedule.
The learning is a total pain and fortunately can be turned off which would be the first thing I would do.
