Nope, it'll preheat it to a temperature starting at 5am using 3 hours of heating for 8am and all the radiators will be cold when you are actually up.I wouldn't buy another for this reason

You can schedule it for any time you want, just like any thermostat. I think what you're on about is 'True Radiant' which is supposed to make it so you don't get up to a cold house, it does this by working out how long your system takes to get your house up to your desired temp and adjusts the start time appropriately. You can just switch this off in the settings or manually adjust how early it starts.

Got it from screwfix last month for £168 including the free stand worth £35.
I know that's no good without a time machine, but screwfix seem to put up that offer every other month, so i'd wait till black friday & get it with a stand

Any info to back this up?
The rumours about a 4th gen being "just around the corner" have been ongoing for a couple of years now (3rd gen launched in uk in 2015), but still no sign of anything on the horizon.

Why does it take 3 hours to heat your house up?

BTW unless you're wall mounting you'll probably want a stand. You can buy 3D printed stands on Ebay that start at about £7.

hmm i've just turned true radiant off it THOUGHT it took 3 hours to heat the home.

So now i have set say 15oc at 8am does that mean it comes on at 8am?
Yep. 15 is a bit cool though, my house is usually warmer than that even when the heating isn't on.

It doesn't work like that. It will turn on when I schedule it to. You might have different settings on, or the home/ away thing. Try to youtube the schedule as I think your using it wrong.

Quote 1qw = It doesn't work like that. It will turn on when I schedule it to....

Now you've got me thinking whether I've programmed mine correctly?

Wanted it to switch radiators on at 05:45 - then remaining on till 09:45 {@23deg}
Off between 09:45 - 15:45 {So I set temps at this timeslot to lowest point to make sure it switches rads off = 9 deg}
On again between 15:45 - 21:45 {@23deg}
Then off overnight between 21:45 - 05:45 {9deg} .... and repeat

Is this method correct?

Turn off the pre-heat option in settings. That way it only turns on or off when you tell it to and not before.

Looks right to me. If you have True Radiant switched on though it might well switch on before those times.
Are they easy to fit with a combi?

Thank you
Looking to grab one of these around Black Friday. I’m in a rented home but have permission to install one of these. However can they be removed and taken with us if we ever move?
Sorry to revive. Anyone has a guide to install into a ideal logic? thanks
