I know quite a few recent comments have indicated that people (including me) are looking for a deal on the wired Nest Protect smoke alarms.

Although there are cheaper options available for the battery powered version (e.g. £239 for 3 on Amazon) this seems like a good option if you are looking specifically for the mains powered versions.

3-5 day standard delivery seems to be free of charge (based on my experience).

Other Nest products are also discounted on the general store link....

I've got two of the battery ones as I wasn't sure how I'd connect this to the powered ones I replaced them with.
I've got a 3 bed semi and 2 is plenty.
They have to be placed away from certain things (can't remember) so I'm unsure where I'd put a 3rd.

They quietly do their job until they test themselves, when they're not quiet.
The sensor light is pretty useless so I switched it off.

Appreciate that everyone's mileage will vary. However, I find the sensor light on the Nest incredibly helpful. We have one on our upstairs landing, and it provides just the right amount of illumination to get up in the night without disturbing anyone else. Was that even on the maximum brightness setting?

Buy three and flog one on Ebay?

They're selling steadily at ~£85-90 at the moment. I'd been slowly acquiring three via Ebay but this would've been a lot more convenient!

I installed 2 yesterday and I found the night light to be excellent, like you say just the right amount of brightness for our landing
No black Friday deals from Amazon on these then? Shame.
Seems to be the only deal on these. Worth getting? Works out at £13 each less than going rate on singles (can’t find anywhere else doing wired 3 pack all battery) - so still £39 saved.
