This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Nest's Protect 3 back in battery format for £249. Cheaper than Google store, works out as £83 each.

Know more, worry less. The new Nest Protect looks for fast burning fires, slow, smoldering fires and invisible carbon monoxide. It speaks up to tell you what the problem is and where it is. It can also give you a friendly HeadsUp before it has to sound the alarm and you can hush it with your phone. In case you’re not home, Nest Protect alerts your phone when the alarm goes off or the batteries run low. It also gives you peace of mind by testing itself over 400 times a day and showing you everything’s working with a quick green glow when you turn off the lights. And it looks after your family for up to 10 years.

It’s time to expect more from your smoke alarm.

Nest Protect has been redesigned from the inside out. It has a Split-Spectrum Sensor, tests itself automatically and lasts for up to a decade. It's also the first home alarm that you can silence from your phone without any extra hardware required. And it tells you what's wrong and can even alert your phone.

Meet the Nest Protect. The smoke alarm that other alarms look up to.

Thinks before it speaks.

Nest Protect has a friendly human voice that gives you an early warning. That way you can handle burning toast before it becomes a burning toaster.

Tells you where the danger is.

And when one speaks, they all speak. So the alarm in your bedroom can tell you there’s smoke downstairs.

10-year CO sensor.

Carbon monoxide is poisonous, but you can’t see it or smell it. That’s why Nest Protect has a long-lasting carbon monoxide sensor that keeps working for up to a decade.

Tests itself: You’re supposed to test smoke alarms monthly. But most people don’t. So Nest Protect checks its batteries and sensors over 400 times a day. And it’s the first alarm that uses Sound Check to quietly test its speaker and siren once a month.

Lights your way: If you need a glass of milk in the middle of the night, Nest Protect lights up as you walk underneath it. Pathlight is one of our customers' favourite features, so we've made it better and brighter.

Steam is not smoke: Has your alarm ever yelled at you for having a shower? Nest Protect comes with Steam Check. It uses custom algorithms and a humidity sensor to look for steam so that you can enjoy a nice, quiet shower.

This is going to be easy.

You can set up your Nest Protect in just minutes using your iPhone, iPad or Android device.

Was £229 at Amazon earlier - but they vanished from the site just after I bought some. Best price at the moment.

I never spotted that, was it a lightning deal?
I bought an individual one a few weeks back for £88. It's a weird product in the fact once it's setup you don't really do anything with it. But the nightlight is quite useful.

It was showing yesterday as a Black Friday deal and as in stock. I couldn't make up my mind, so I left it until this morning. It was then showing as out of stock, delivery on 28th. I took the plunge and ordered and then posted the deal here, however before my post even went live the deal vanished from Amazon. I got an email earlier saying that they now expect me to have my items on 26th and not 29th. I only need 2, so I'll sell the additional one, but at £77 each, seemed like a good deal, even if they turn out to be older stock and I only end up getting 9 years use out of them.
Is that latest 3rd generation ?

Is that latest 3rd generation ?

There is no 3rd generation, it's the second generation which is the latest. Nest products seem to be quite random in updates, so very difficult to predict when it will be updated.

I'm not sure what exactly needs to be improved on this product anyway, the only extra thing I'd like to see is them working as a chime for the nest hello doorbell, but I don't see why the current gen couldn't do that with a firmware update.
