How long do the battery ones last?

Pretty sure it's 10 years
Great device!! I have two (mains powered) and they give piece of mind that your home is being monitored for smoke co2 etc. They make great hall way path lighting for when walking around in the middle of the night

The batteries wont last 10yrs, the device does but the batteries will need changing at some point.

I've two going 3 years without changing the batteries, I believe they quoted 5 years somewhere in the documentation. So somewhere between 3-5 years at least with quality batteries.

Mine's been going two years so far and is still showing good battery strength
Plus they do auto testing to see if there working...
I have 3 wired and 1 battery version. This will 4th year and battery showing OK on health check. Doesn't give a percentage just that it was last checked 10 hours ago

With decent energizer batteries will last about 8yrs without needing replacing so those contemplating battery or wired need not worry. Tests itself regularly, daisy chains with others and works if WiFi down. Added bonus, it alerts me when there's smoke detected in the kitchen and the wife has almost finished the Sunday lunch. Time to turn off the footy!
Heat. Cheapest I’ve seen is £79.

Might have been posted already but John Lewis have it same price johnlewis.com/goo…215

Serious question: how do you estimate 8 years? Thanks!
Depends on how you have the night light set, my first set on my landing lasted 2 years although they did send me a free set of energiser lithium's when I complained.
Showing as £88.99 for the battery and wired for me

It would totally depend where it is located and if you’re using the path light. If a high traffic area I can’t imagine 8 years in that scenario.
Just check the use by dates when you get them!!! Some really old stock out there . Last two I got were nearly 2 years old so went back
