Tad expensive for a smoke alarm!!

Voted HOT, good deal for great technology.

Yes expensive but awesome bit of kit

Thanks so much, I need six more of these!
You've saved me a packet. Still waiting for the thermostat to release.

3 for 2 in stores too. ..
Great bit of technology.

Don't forget reserve and collect through quidco, and then get a grampa to collect it on the wednesday with the pensioner discount (10% I think?)

Cheers Op, been looking to replace my 2 smoke alarms ever since seeing these. Too expensive before, but at £70 each they're awesome.
My quidco tracked at £7.27
Curiously though, my total was £218.11. Not sure where the 11p comes from as £109 each and 3 for 2 should be £218!
Heat added…but no smoke

Yes, £90 each with no warranty.

This B&Q deal is smoking.

Many thanks OP

Was going to buy a couple anyway and as my mate wants one it's worked out great.

Not cheap, but as we are out a lot I feel better knowing that something may be able to be done about trouble, sooner rather than later.

Money we'll spent.

Looks like I can't get the 3 for 2 deal online anymore.

Arrived today, took 5 mins to setup and what a piece of kit, totally brilliant, can't wait for the thermostat to arrive in the UK.

Set up two yesterday. Very slick.

Shame I missed the offer, will check again, and fingers crossed.

Not sure if this is good news or not for Nest??

A google device on wifi on your ceiling that can detect movement and voice??

Yes I heard about Google. Guess I'll just have to wear my tin foil hat in the house more.

Offer is still on. I bought 3 last night from Northampton for £218. Used my card that Quidco tracks for an extra discount.

I got John Lewis to price match.
My local B&Q cancelled my order as said they did not stock even though the website allowed me to reserve for collection.
I have paypal money to use so John Lewis it is!

Great deal. just bought 3 today!

Had ordered 3 at the beginning of this deal, 2 x wired and 1 x battery. Battery one arrived next day, 2 x wired never. Week went past and still no sign. Phoned B&Q and they said they had tried to contact me (no they never) and that the wired was out of stock for home delivery so I had been refunded and only charged £72 for the battery one. Bit pee'd off but got one for reduced price.

So went to local B&Q and bought 3 wired for the price of 2, even bigger bonus!! Now got 4 for the price of 2 and a bit happy days.

I think this has expired now. Shame - I got one over the weekend from B&Q, and they are amazing. Slightly pricy, but they are top quality and amazing tech.

Does anyone have a receipt they could send me, please? I would love to try and take that in and say I just missed the deal but would love to buy two more... ;-)

Grrr, wish I had not bothered. After 3 days I get a false alert from the battery one I bought early hours of the morning.
Twice last night its gone off as well. 1st time didnt talk to the others at all so just heard the alarm part downstairs. 2nd time it did talk.

Have tried calling nest and they say closed!!!!

I have googled false alarms with this product and it seems I'm not alone.

Are you sure your boiler is not venting Carbon Monoxide?

No the offending alarm is in the Lounge well away from the the boiler. The message is emergency smoke in the lounge.
Gave up trying to get through to Nest today.

Contacted by the U.K. distributors today, and the thermostat is almost here. Mines being installed first week of April fingers crossed.

Who are the UK distributors? Are you on a waiting list? Who is installing it for you?

Sorry for the questions, but it has been a long wait... ;-)

I believe the distributors are Brolley and the thermostat has now been released. I'll update after mine is fitted, possibly Monday.

get a refund if you have decided you don't want them anymore.

These are absolute garbage, I'm going to arrange a refund. I had installed ten of these and I keep getting false alarms in the middle of the night and messages like "smoke in the landing" whilst I'm at work. Lost all confidence in the product, now what am I going to do with the ten holes in my ceiling.
LIVID ! ! !
