Bought this on Monday - received a brand new (completely sealed) Nest Thermostat for £125!!
Cheapest by far anywhere.

Nest Learning Thermostat, 3rd Generation
The 3rd generation Nest Learning Thermostat is slimmer, sleeker and even more beautiful. With a bigger, sharper display and Far sight, you can see the time or the temperature you've set from across the room. And now it even controls your hot water tank. The Nest Thermostat learns the temperature you like, then programs itself. It uses built-in sensors to confirm no one's home and It knows how long it takes to heat your home so you're comfortable when you get there. When you leave, it turns itself down so you save energy. And you can check your Energy History with the Nest App to see how much you've saved.
Features:

Auto-Schedule: No more programming With Auto-Schedule, Nest learns from you and programs itself
Auto-Away: The Nest Thermostat automatically turns itself down after you leave to help you save energy
Hot Water: Now Nest can control your hot water tank You can even adjust the hot water schedule from your mobile
Modulation: Nest now uses Open Therm technology to modulate your high-efficiency condensing boiler. So you can save even more energy
Remote Control: With Nest app, you can change temperature, check Energy History, and get an alert if your home gets too cold

Good find, would run out and get one but money is a bit tight at the minute 😔

Excellent find! Bought one but I'm going to keep it sealed until the cooling off period is almost up, as I've got a sneaky suspicion they're either going to be even cheaper in the Amazon Prime sale and/or Nest are about to announce a 4th gen model which will bring the price down further.

good price

Good find. Reputable company?

Breeding Nest....................another one a cometh

Cex don't sell anything 'new', it is all technically second hand.

However, often especially with this sort of thing someone has got is as a promotion from somewhere and traded it in straight away, so it is unused and still in its box etc.

Great price.

Also lots of 5 finger discount items end up in CEX!

They offer 24 months warranty on items which is pretty impressive for secondhand electricals etc.

"5 finger discount items"?. lol new to me . had to look that up

Great Find. Thanks. Been looking for one of these on a deal for a while now.

I read somewhere that these can be tricky to install yourself.

Hive supposed to be easier to fit but Nest are slightly more sophisticated.

I have neither, nor do i have any affiliation to either.

If you can follow basic instructions and maybe research your boiler along with takeing your time they are easy to install, but if you want to look up a nest Pro in your area (I'm one) you will find lots and they will be happy to install for you

Before Christmas they were £100 if you were an NPower customer........great piece of kit although I did pay someone to install it.

I worked in a retail store and around 70 hard drives were stolen and were all in our local CEX

When companys go bust 1st place they think of for instant money is CEX. Theres also traders that lookout for offers on zavvi, hmv and so on to trade in. When goldeneye came out on wii i ordered 10 copies to make £5 on each one. As their delivery got delayed and the price dropped i was making £1 loss on each one.

Thats not CEX fault. The thieves take things because the

Bought a Nest Gen 3 a few months back.

A local Nest Pro installer wanted £140 to fit it, said it would take 1/2 a day. Thinking that was expensive I phoned up a local electrician, who quoted me £60 and an hours work. Guess who I booked

OOS

I got one of these. It's class it's knocked about £15 a month off my gas bill so pays for its sell after a year. I paid £169 plus £25 for stand so it didn't need fitted to a wall.

Cost is down to your current set up. If you have a wired one already it's a straight swap, pretty easy. Mine was wireless thermostat cheap Baxi one, so easy fit as it's just replace the sensor on boiler with nest one. Cost me £40 through proper nest installer. Phone around loads, most are standard £60-80 but some do it cheaper.

It's expensive when you want a fresh wired one installed.

The stand I think is best put it on a book shelf or something.

This is a bargain £125 it will pay for itself after about 10 months.

It's th way it heats your house, my last one was 30 second delay before on and off , this is instant.

Tracks your phone so turns off if you leave and learns when you want it on and phone, learns your schedule. Must have for anyone who likes gadgets. And looks good.

Just received my Nest, it is only the thermostat. No charger no instructions no heatlink. It's going back.

CEX have now sent the missing parts in the correct box. The thermostat was originally just sent in bubble wrap. LOL indeed to you too.

Brand new actually with 2 year warranty, hardly second hand as others have commented.

Took the plunge after talking to my plumber friend. Let's see whether unit is new or will return back with postage loss.

So it arrived, in tatty ripped up and opened packaging. While heatlink, wall plate, charger and other accessories looked new thermostat it self was all scratched. This is going back. CEX should have done better with item description here.
Also price is up to £140 now so not worth the hassle. Just got brand new from local ebay seller for £130...
