Good price compared to other supermarkets charging up to £2.

I believe this is what they call dulce de leche which translates as caramelised condensed milk.

The only difference between this and condensed milk is the caramel is condensed milk that has been slowly heated for some time until it darkens and thickens.

Some people make their own caramel by boiling condensed milk in a can but this can be dangerous and work out more expensive due to the cost of fuel.

Great for quick banoffee pie.

I just love your profile name 🤣 🐦
Great - I have run out of this and have been waiting for it to come on offer somewhere
Banoffee pie is a doddle to make with this stuff.
Diabetes for a pound, an offer that can't be refused. Once eaten you are smitten forever!
Thank you, just made some, but this is lovely to have as a back up, so off to Asda and have some heat.
Any recommendations on what to make with this

A delicious ice cream that is soft and does not need icecream machine to churn (look for Nigella's recipe), tried and tested (maaaany times ;-) )
