Steve123uk yeah I was slightly worried about that myself. I've done it a few times with a similar connection, and only once been too late and bumped onto the next flight down.

Pinched from Jack's Flight Club? I'm not even a member of it. I just went to book a flight and spotted the good deals. It's not pinched from anywhere. Additionally it does include checked baggage, see the '23kg' next to checked bag.

Wouldn't advise 1h 50 mins at Atlanta. High chance you will no make it off the plane and through immigration then reboard the next fight.

Jacks flight club nicks flights from fly4free, secretflying, flighthacks, flynous to name but a few. And its very normal for OTAs like netflights to price much cheaper. They know if you have an issue with flight change/cancellation you will pay thru the teeth. Best to pay direct with airline.

Hot.. But pinched from Jack's flight club!

It is the beginning of rain season yes, but I'd be very surprised if you got rain everyday. And even if you did it still beats being in the uk (y)

I'm guessing you've never been to Thailand then, I'm sure you could find more than enough to do, including amazing views and beachs. Cheap scuba diving to name but a few things. The only problem with this deal is that I think you'd find that 10 days just isn't long enough. Voted hot.

Go to the elephant sanctuaries, enjoy the beautiful countryside and beaches. Meet with some of the 69 million people, perhaps you may even enjoy the company of the natives and if your very clever find some that aren't 'Lady boys'.

Woohoo lady boys . On a serious note . If I was not interested in lady boys and elephant torture, what would one do in Thailand?

What airlines was it?

You’re right, my mistake. I got 5 Ralph Lauren polos for £10 so I’d go whether it falls during Ramadan or not!

But it wasn't ramadhan in those dates in 2014. It moves back every year. I guess in most tourist hotspots you may not notice it. But I'd double check nonetheless

I went at same dates but in 2014, couldn’t tell it was Ramadan due to how much of a tourist hotspot for turkey it is everything stays the same in the main areas

stamp in passport in Turkey . No entry to few other countries. Do not risk if you are world traveller.

Family and I recently went Heathrow - Miami (return) on their A380. Granted we were flying economy but I was so cramped and I'm average height and build. Cabin crew were we're OK but not that welcoming, food was horrid, and they only came round with small drinks 3 or 4 times on a 9hr flight. BA have come under a lot of flack of late and from my experience it's justified - they have cut the basic service to the bone. So, whilst a deal's a deal - beware of seat pitch etc before booking.

How terrible for you.

I really don't care you hate me because of my nationality. I've never had a gun or wanted one. I was robbed by knifepoint in London and I still wouldn't want to carry a gun in response to that. All I can do living in this far superior non violent country is hope I don't actually get stabbed next time for £20 and a mobile phone.

Rather than disprove my point, you've in fact proven it to be completely correct. No amount of side stepping the issue can disprove how ridiculously unfit for the 21st Century America is. It's no wonder not only the world detest it's ridiculous regime, but also citizens it's armed and allowed to create mass shooting incidents.

If you plan to use this BA deal to buy a gun in Miami, you need a license to buy a gun at these supposed corner gun shops. There is a 3 day waiting period as well so plan your travel dates accordingly. I'm not sure someone who enters the US on a tourist visa will pass the background checks that also have to be carried out before buying a gun. Just got back a few days, absolutely loved it and the kids had a ball.

Decent price for that length of time, Seen the hotel you have mentioned whats it like, is it near the beach and other places for eating/drinking. What is they to keep a family entertained> Whats gadgets and gizmo's got to do with anything? Not sure of Turkish Airlines tho.

there is beach almost everywhere, beautiful buildings, great safe atmosphere, fair doos it's expensive but for the innovative gadgets and gizmos they have I have to say it's pretty amazing, I have been there 18 times and am going there again in December, booked Movenpick hotel and flying on Turkish airlines(I have always gone on Emirates, Turkish is a first) for 2 adults 2 kids it was £3673 from 7 December to 28 December through Expedia.

One of my bucket list places but feel it's a overpriced city in middle of a desert there's better places to visit especially with kids

I would agree. I found it all a £/Dirham American spectacle. Anything commercial dining is incredibly expensive. Views are spectacular but after 5 minutes of each I found more love for the place away from the city center. Amazing cheap eats, surprisingly stunning beach past Ajman in Hamriyah. Khatt hot springs as this was so far away from spending £200pp to go into a water park. Regardless wether they have a new ride that has 900ft fall through a canyon of sharks and platapus's followed by a throw over a raging lava volcano crater. £200pp?! Nowhere near worth it even if I was a hedge fund manager.

This is a great deal, and although it's not the best time of year in Alaska, it's still not bad -- usually you get your first snows in Anchorage in October, so it would be unlikely there'll be enough for alpine-skiing or dog-sledding, but you might be "lucky" with an early snow for a bit of X-Country skiiing, snowmobiling or dog-sledding. I say "lucky" because the driving risk escalates drastically after the first snow, especially if you're not accustomed to driving on snow - check your hirecar options and seriously consider 4-wheel-drive and insist on all-season tyres. I lived there 17 years, so take my word for that! Having said all that, it's a pretty time of year, and although it won't be shirt-sleeve weather it's quite dry so it'll still feel warmer than the UK, there'll still likely be some nice colour from the autumn foliage, and if you're lucky you'll get those first snows on the higher ground which is far prettier than seeing it totally white with snow. Unless you fancy driving in the snow as well, you really don't want to go any later than this. Anchorage & & Fairbanks can be a right pigsty in the snowier weather too, because of the grit used on the roads, but February/March is far worse for that then because the snow/ice start melting and releasing the entire winter's collection of grit & litter. I'd say if you want winter in Alaska, go in late November/early December, if you want a glorious summer, go in June/July, if you want dog sledding & Alaska celebrations be there for the Fur Rendezvous, if you want to travel around don't go between late October & mid March. My top suggestions -- drive up to Flattop mountain (but you'll be a bit late for the fields of blueberries free for the picking until your mouth turns blue - but then at least you won't be competing with the bears or stepping in their droppings). The Alaska zoo is also a surprisingly interesting experience - it's not huge but it is different and you get very close to some unusual animals, including the only penguins in Alaska. You can drive to Portage Glacier, or into Whittier (or take the Alaska Railroad to Whittier). If you're driving, make sure you know the schedule for the one-way mountain tunnel into Whittier or risk sitting there for 2 hours while waiting for the one-way traffic to go your way! If you fancy spending a bit, from Whittier book a boat out onto the Prince William Sound, great chance of seeing loads of wildlife. From Anchorage book a small plane, fly out to see the tallest mountain in the world (yep, that's right, taller than Everest) in Denali National Park. But don't expect to do more than one thing in a day -- Alaska's a huge place and it takes a long time to get from one place to another, but the travelling about is a joy in itself, so my advice is to be prepared to enjoy the travelling about as an end in itself, and be happy even if you don't get where you set out to that morning. For a great Mexican meal, try La Mexicana and don't fail to try the margaritas (unless you're driving). For a unique bar experience, Chilkoot Charlies is a must (they rip off the other guy and pass the savings on to you). If you're expecting style and class, don't go to Alaska - be prepared to spend some time in a place like no other, with people to match, and expect the unexpected. Just don't take yourselves too seriously, stop and smell the bluebells, it's a great place!

Go to deal should take you to Netflights where you can search for dates as per screen shots.

Yep, you may be able to add in an overnight in Seattle? Alternatively just 1 stop and between 12-14 hrs instead for just over £650 with Iceland Air. Time v money I guess?

I won't be deleting anything. The points you have made have been addressed and commented on in the comments on this thread already with some suggestions and useful information and options including other flight choices for less than £100 more. Flight prices and options change daily, hourly so it is highly likely these aren't even available either at this price. Norweigan has flights direct to NY as do lots of other carriers. This was just one option and the screen shots were shown which clearly identified a stopover.

well, it doesn't really matter it's still cold imo. The title is misleading as the deal posted has a 19hr stopover, which is a hassle for the majority of people who will click on your link. if you do not want anyone else to comment I would suggest deleting your deal.

Strange you would comment here when it was a couple of months ago. I did give options for direct flights too at 50 quid more. Good opportunity to explore Atlanta too though.... Airport hotels cheap.

3 hours Miami... 2 1/2 hours Denver... 2 hours Salt Lake City... no lie spreading here, just experience. You should try and get out of your little room once in a while...

They haven't had them since 2008, they have in some airport but majority hit them in the last year. haven't checked but there is a mention of Atlanta and if this the case they got them last August however this doesn't make it quicker. Took me 45 mins to get through Miami 8 weeks ago twice since then nearly 2 hours. Atlanta is good but you land in international terminal and domestic is 15 minutes away. Hotels really aren't the same make sure you get a good one and yes downtown can be done in 20 minutes on a Sunday but it had taken me an hour or more most days and twice over 2 hours to get from one side to another. Chicago will be cold in march google some of the recent years storm pictures to see how cold :)

Just got back from a conference in Chicago and despite the 90 plus degree heat, it was an amazing city! Would definitely recommend if you've be lucky enough to visit the usual cities/holiday destinations in the states. The Art Institute of Chicago is one of the top attractions worldwide (not my cup of tea normally but it was pretty nice in there!). Loads of nice places to eat and drink, although the shopping in downtown is generally for those who like expensive brands, not like Florida with all the outlet stores ha ha! I flew on virgin in economy and it's a decent experience as far as economy goes. I had an extra legroom seat on the way back for the night flight and I was glad of the extra room. They use A330 and A340 planes on that route and they were better than many of the other types I've flown on to the US previously. Heated!

Great for those of us living in Scotland.........who usually pay in the excess from almost anywhere in the UK

All of these posts about crime and racism are hilarious. My gf is South African and still living there. The last time I was there over Christmas and never have I once had any trouble. Something that you have to understand, especially as a tourist rather than being in a situation where you know an actual South African, is that the culture regarding race is completely different to here. They will say things that from a British point of view is racist or offensive, but when in a SA context, it is not. You also have to realise that while crime is high, it is a tiny minority that are criminals and a lot of the population are sick of it. Stick to safe areas, don't go around cities at night, keep doors locked when driving and you are safe to enjoy an incredible country. Awesome deal, last flights I got were just over £1k because of the time of year from Manchester > Charles De Gaulle > Joburg, so for a third of the price, this is amazing!!

Not safe for Muslims!

It's a fairly pointless argument anyways. but here goes: But to me it's nonsensical, it's not like the flight leaving Inverness exists to get people to Joburg. It exists to get to Birmingham, the birmingham one to get to zurich etc. So they don't need to offer cheap flights out of inverness to get to joburg. Especially as it's not for another 5/6 weeks. Airlines exist on tight margins, I can't think anyone is making any money on this.

I hardly see how that conflicts with my post... You say its crazy you can't get that price from Birmingham, I say its not. If what you actually mean is "its annoying" then yes, I guess it is. But I'm not a mindreader so if you want to use an alternative definition to the norm then make it clear instead of writing some snarky comment...

I prefer the cold to the heat as long as it's not raining.

NYC is best enjoyed when the weather is pleasant. I used to go around May and it was fine.

I went in March a couple of years ago (over Easter) for about £180 rtn, and it was hella cold. And not just cold, it was incredibly windy too, to the extent that I never got to go on the Staten Island ferry cos it looked way too rough. If I go back it'll be in the summer.
