If you sign up for Netflix via their Mexico page (https://www.netflix.com/mx-en/) you can get the standard package (2 screens + hd) for 129MX$ per month which depending on the month is about £5.65* compared to the UK price of £7.49. I've used this method for over a year and you will have full access to the UK catalogue.

* this was the price I paid this month and includes card conversion fees.

Note: I used a VPN set to Mexico to ensure Netflix didn't default to UK pricing. I haven't tried signing up via the above link without the VPN. I haven't checked whether this is against their ToS.

Just to clarify... This allows you to pay less for access to their UK catalogue not watch shows from The Mexican catalogue. To do that you would need a VPN and yes as you've mentioned, they do seem to like blocking them!

Good find, but just to be accurate to watch shows from another country's catalogue you just need a DNS Proxy, not a full VPN. VPNs may cost more and potentially slow your internet down a little so if it's just for Netflix then you might want to avoid it.

Your bill will be different every month due to exchange rate

I also think Netflix might only accept cards from a specific country for their pricing in that region - don't hold me to that though

In other words a dodge to avoid paying VAT.

That's correct. Over the last 5 months, I've paid between £5.04 to £5.75 a month. I thought £5.65 was an good average to use. I use my Amex to pay.

Why go through all the VPN hassle just pay the extra money and watch

£2 a month £24 a year saving is it worth it

Just wondering whether it may be cheaper from Venezuela, Nepal and Kazakhstan ? I can't be arsed checking to check. Maybe someone could check every countries prices and put them in a cost list.

You could have payed full price at UK prices and shared with other people and saved even more money.

Most vpn can't fool Netflix anymore so be aware before trying it
