For those using Turkey pricing, there's not much difference for Basic or Standard plans compared to Argentina. Price conversion rates are taken from xe.com, but your actual payments may differ slightly. Compared to UK prices you are still saving 50%

Turkey
Basic £2.34 (18TL), Standard £3.86 (30TL) or Premium £5.32 (42TL)
Argentina
Basic £2.30 (179ARS), Standard £3.46 (269ARS) or Premium £4.64 (369ARS)

New Turkey sign-ups are wanting a Turkish mobile number to register (there is no hack for this)
Argentina currently does not request a contact number

The only way you can do that is if you’re reactivating an old account with payment details already stored.

That’s how I did this with my current Netflix account

Exactly why previous posts where eventually closed. Gets a cold from me. Price might be shown but unless proof is posted of how it was processed there’s no deal here.

I use my Starling account to pay for the Netflix monthly via Turkey, have never paid more than £6 if that.
Isn’t this fraud?
It's just 369 ars via Netflix Amsterdam which is around £4.71 at the moment (depends on the exchange rate of the month) but the payment must be through a card/ account that doesn't charge international fees.
I'm using a Revolut account and there's been no problems so far and it's been a year.
Heh .. an armchair lawyer already. Has to be a record ..

Anyway, it's cheaper via Argentina ..

Thanks for telling us that crucial piece of info.

I'm guessing you used your friend's Turkish mobile umber as well?
If I use the phone number of my local Turkish restaurant will it work then I wonder.

No, but I'd question Netflix's legality while they charge extra for "rich Brits" and less to everyone else.

I had a mate come from China and he laughed at my shopping habits and told me the prices of things in China (where they are made btw).

The only reason why they are £1 and not 1p is because Brits say "It's only a pound" (when that £1 can feed a family in most of the world).

They've had our pants down ever since we first boasted to the whole world about being rich up until now..

I've just cancelled my sky on demand which had Netflix. This being my first NF account was through sky.
I'm thinking I'll have to reactivate it using my starling card, cancel again, then using VPN from a different country reactivate??
Thanks for any advice!

Dont you think it is irrelevant to the topic i..
I’ve been in this deal for a few months, signed up using a VPN, payments coming from a Halifax Clarity commission free card
Hi there.....

Actailly, if you use a VPN...then go to Argentina....you dont need a phone number. You can get 2 tvs HD for around £3.40 a month! (269 ASP) or Max plan at 369 (around 4.60 - at current exchange rates)....so around half the cost! There is no tax. Im on second month now. Just sign in now and again using VPN, and Argentina server.39809262-MQMAM.jpg
Same how do u bypass number confirmation ??

Alternatively, you could just appreciate that the average person here gets paid far more than the average person in China.

Such a simplistic view of it, whats the average wage in china? You cant do a straight conversion and say ha look we are being overcharged and you proved your own point wrong anyway by admitting a pound can feed a family elsewhere. Its clearly relative and even if "relatively" we are being charged more its operating costs, be it tax etc or royalties. You will find alot of the super cheap regions have much less content.

This is about buying and selling products.

The margin if fair wouldn't be a moral issue.

When people begin to realise and you see price drops and constant "sale" culture developing, you know that the extortionate ways have been caught out.

Frankly it's embarrassing and a sham.

RE: Phone number.
I signed up to Turkish site some months ago and having checked my account it gives me the option to add a number and just states: "Your phone number will be used if you forget your password and for important account messages."
So unless the process has changed maybe just don't enter one.

Operation costs and tax or royalties exist everywhere. The Brits have been paying for rubbish for years but are waking up to what they've been contributing to.

Fraud? Probably losely by definition.

Unethical? Definitely.. but its 2020 and we are led by unethical people in government so who cares. Enjoy the party

Viva la Netflix revolution!
I only got 2 1/2 weeks out of the Argentinian deal before it was cancelled but they did refund the money for the whole month to my Monzo card yesterday. Might try this Turkish one though, cheers.

What's embarrassing is trying to pretend you're somehow being exploited by choosing to look only at disparity of expenditure and ignoring disparity in income.

Your not grasping it, we have more content (probably more expensive content to create aswell) , we pay more to cover the extra royalties, tax wise it's more here as that's how our system is setup. Again you contradict yourself with every other sentence.
Yes great deal if you live in Turkey

Istanbul kebab?
So how are you guys paying for this? It won’t recognise my Revolut card...
so today I've just had my previous 11 months of Netflix payments credited back to my bank and I've been using revolut , but now my account has been deactivated and it will not let me renew with my revolut or my main bank details. even tried creating new account. I think my bank details have been banned from Netflix anyone else had this issue?
