Brand New to market, the best router (agreed by most experts) is a R7000, and this is that router with a Modem built in, all you sufferers on BT and Sky can now join the love of a proper router..

this is a order now item and we will ship as soon as stock arrives, as they are expecting stock imminently...currently £190 in the UK when it comes into stock here in the UK as well

Why is this better than a BT Home Hub 5 for BT Infinity?

Fibre routers are so over priced still. Sucks. :((

Currently out of stock.

Just so people dont get confused this will not replace your excisting modem. This will be a added part. To use this as your rputer/modem you need the passwords and usernames for it to communicate with the computers at the exchange. You will not get this from sky and im pretty sure most providers will not give it to you ether. You can however use it to provide a far better coverage around your house. To do this switch of the wifi in your existing router and then connect this as a CABLE ROUTER. Doing this will improve your reception but you also then have 2 pieces of equipment in the same place. Slightly miss leading title and discripton

Netduma is the best!

it's relatively straightforward to use this as a replacement for the Sky/BT hubs if you can follow a few simple steps from a Google search, I replaced my Sky Hub a few weeks back with TP-Link hardware and it has made a massive improvement.

You are completely wrong, this does replace the sky/bt box, all you need is your username and password..... Job done, could not be simpler.... There is a million Google pages telling you how to get your sky username... The tiltle is spot on

Specialist product only really aimed at gamers, and small net builder also showed that using it actually hurt some games

getting the pw for sky is fairly easy. You only need wireshark which is free

blurb on amazon.de says will only deliver to Germany....

You will also need an EU to UK plug adapter.

Protoype

No need. Just poke a chopstick down the earth to realease the other two pins and shove it in.

Can someone please answer the first question. Can't at the moment justify dishing out £150 for a router...

If you are on a hh5 and are happy, then don't change....this router comes into its if you stream video or have a lot of devices....

the HH5 is a perfectly capable router, but this is just better all ends up, but if you don't notice any issues on your HH5 then stay with it

The AC1900 D7000 is a Modem/Router with auto-sensing for DSL & VDSL. It has a 'wizard' to select your ISP, like sky, talktalk etc. It can use its own Modem or one can plug in a second. Its going to be one cool piece of kit and I for one will be buying to replace my TalkTalk Superrouter. My superrouter does not require a password on DSL or VDSL so I expect the D7000 will not either. Its auto-sensing.

Ordered this for 145 euros. Hopefully as good as you say it is! Any particular firmware I can use?
