This and Netgear router or out the box mesh system like Orbi?
mesh every day.
I can only comment on the google mesh which I have now, and it beats the netgear extenders hands down, in terms of speed, but more importantly reliability. Its been in 12 weeks now and hasnt dropped a connection once or needed switching off and on again.

The netgear extender which was £100+ I had would need a off/on once a week and wasnt as fast or robust.

Mesh anyday. Extenders are temperamental.

Thanks both, any recommendations? Will do some research on the google one!
Brrrrr.... It's cold in here getting out before I catch a cold.
Why is this so cold? This IS a mesh system that doesn't require a device plugged directly in to your router, has a back haul channel and gives you (in theory) 100% of your WiFi speed.

This is not a normal range extender.

I missing something?

It is absolutely rubbish. Had one and returned it the next day as the signal was no better than my old tp-link regular extender for £15. Actually my £20 pocket GL.iNet router worked better than this. Ubiquiti access point connected to a network adapter blows this thing out of the water with a fairly similar price. Super cold for this.
