be mindful if you have a blackberry in the house, netgear and blackberry don't seem to work well together from experience

Gd price

it is a wirless n router

NOT an ADSL wirless router

this means it will only be useful for those with NTL, and WONT work with BT/SKY/O2/Plusnet/orange

It says Modem Router so I presume this is the ADSL version

WRONG

Look at the box (unless its the wrong picture) ADSL2 Modem built in i.e normal telephone line

I wouldn't rely on a DSG site's pictures! The text does NOT say it has a MODEM indeed specifically says "Modem = NONE" & that the box has a connection out of it TO your modem - ie this is a modem'less box suitable only for people with either a (eg NTL/Virgin) cable modem, or another box that is providing the ADSL broadband/modem function + 1 Ethernet port to connect to THIS Netgear non-modem box.

Will this work on a Post Office phone line with an Xbox ?

I've just spent the afternoon trying to get the rubbish the PO supply talking to one, a bit of surfing shows there's a problem with NATs on the ones they give out. . .

As stated it specifically says "modem=none" and the title does not say modem, they have just put the wrong picture.

here is the ADSL modem one pcworld.co.uk/gbu…tml

Notice is says modem - ADSL2+

not hard to figure out.

This does not contain an ADSL modem. Model number is WNR1000.
Windows 7 is supported - kb.netgear.com/app…101

The sarcasm and tone of your post is a little unnecessary I would have thought.

Can any of you suggest a decent n-class router/modem for O2 BB up to around £50? Thanks.

I've got a netgear dgn3500 which works flawlessly with o2 broadband and has gigabit ethernet ports, probably a bit more than your looking to pay though.

the dgn2000 might be worth a look though. Steer clear of Belkin, some just do not work with o2 and neither belkin or o2 know why after many hours of tech support phone calls.

Ordered one of these online today for instore pick-up and having see it close up, they are DEFINATELY cable connection only, NOT adsl...some lazy b.....d at PC World/Dixons/Currys couldn't be bothered to find the right picture and just used a generic one. Needless to say I thanked them kindly for wasting my time and effort and told them where they could put their modem...back on the shelf. That said, it's not a bad deal for anybody needing a cable wireless N router.

just orded one ready for collect cheers guys
