Was looking for a router to use with my Virgin broadband as just upgraded to Vivid 200mb, read through a few reviews and this seemed to be one of the best ones at this price point. Only 4 left at time of posting but with the current eBay code going around its £15 cheaper than anywhere else - hopefully will be of help to someone else.

Bought this for £50 new last year!! Absolute beast of a router .. I even plugged a hard drive into the usb slot, setup ready share and used it as a kind of Nas device for films.and stuff...

Superb for gaming also.
does this take DD-WRT firmware?
Can this be used to replace the sky q router? The range on mine is crap
Had mine for over a year and its never missed beat.
When I seen it was only 3 in stock, I grabbed one quick.
I have checked and it does support DD-WRT , woohoo!

Thanks Op!
Won't let me buy

Sorry Dan__ seems you found the answer but yes it does take DD-WRT firmware. Will be putting open VPN on mine.
Asuswrt Merlin is best on these regardless of user level, more finished than ddwrt, more stable and easier to use than the rubbish Netgear put on them.

thanks ill have a look at that. Ive been off the scene for too long as past couple of routers ive had couldn't take 3rd party firmware.
only negative is it will struggle with vpn due to it being a weak processor for that purpose. 😔 other than that it's great router!
