For £250 router you might as well put that towards a better internet provider
I've never known a simple unmanaged or managed switch to introduce any measurable latency at all. Seems like a marketing gimmick to me.

This is smart managed,

Are the management options enterprise grade?

All internet is the same when you get to the 80/20 mbit package that bt wholesale supplies to resellers give or take a few tweaks to caps.

If you want performance to max out your vpn, or decent router that can do good QoS, or enough power to not fall over when handling multiple torrents, a satip and gaming at the same time.

Then you need an expensive router with a decent CPU and not a managed switch or a new ISP.

But if you make it, they will buy!

New marketing - add eye burning blue led lights all over product, add 'gaming' and 'low latency' on the box. bingo, sell for much higher markup.

I am thinking of selling gaming cola and gaming pizza, a more efficient, low latency food for true gamers.

No it's the best available in the area VDSL2 is as good as it gets outside major cities.

I don't bother with a VPN but my £350 R9000 can saturate it when I do use it. Everyone else seemed VPN mad but are using routers that can't even do 20 mbit down with one.

Total waste of money, gaming traffic is relatively small and even cheap switches have dedicated switching hardware and handle jumbo frames.
Has anyone seen any POE-PD switches at a good price? i.e a switch which is powered by POE, doesn't need to deliver POE.

I have a 24 port POE switch in the main comms cupboard. So would prefer POE-PD capable switches so I don't need a socket nearby.
