I would advise against the orbi. Better off investing in the amplifi HD. Far better router, better range even as a single unit, cheaper, and brilliant customer service and app. Once you get comfortable with it, you can start adding compatible parts to get a awesome home network.

I have 3 Orbis and not impressed with them. The range is pretty poor on each satellite and they dont cover my 215sqm home. Also the interface is outdated and the app is terrible! Therefore not great. Fortunately the last time I purchased a satellite it was £65!

Exactly the same for me too! Here's a link for the amplifi if anyone is interested ebuyer.com/882…wcB
Well, I can't help but comment on this even though it's an old deal. There are Orbis, and there are Orbis - and if you want the very best mesh wifi performance, period, then you should go for the most expensive RBK50 / RBR50 / RBS50 devices with AC3000 and dedicated 5Ghz backhaul. Nothing will touch them for performance/speed and range - especially the AmpliFi devices which don't even have a dedicated wifi backhaul, have no MU-MIMO and the satellites oddly have no ethernet ports.

A quick Google will quickly show that if you want the best then the Orbi AC3000 systems are it - though obviously that comes at a price, and the AmplifiHD systems are cheaper.
