My hub is in the hall and TV in the lounge. Will this take the place of an Ethernet cable which I cannot figure ho to run from one to the other without drilling through the wall which I Do NZoT want to do!
Yes, crack on and enjoy
or is it wireless?
Apologies for for dumb girly question!
Yep, exactly the same here, very frustrating.
There are a some available in packs of three but not quite the ones I want, and very few singles. I want three with dual ethernet ports and passthrough.
The powerline only provides internet access for you bt set top box, you will still need use an HDMI connection as an input for your tv else you won't be able to see anything. The setup should be:
Router-->powerline1, powerline2-->set top box (using ethernet) = enables internet access for your BT tv box
Set top box-->TV (using HDMI) = Let's your TV view the set top box
Hope that helps
