Amazon have the excellent NETGEAR PLP1200-100UKS 1200 Mbps powerline homeplug ethernet adapters on sale at £49.99. They retail at £79.99 (according to Amazon) but are £89.99 at Maplin.

These are an excellent bit of kit. I bought them way back last year when they were first on offer. Gigabit ethernet in/out snd mains passthrough sockets. Totally plug and play, just connect an ethernet cable from your router to one, and from the second to whichever device you are using such as tv, media streamer etc.

These homeplugs have gotten 5 star reviews across the board. Its a no, as they say, brainer.

Expired. Now £64.99.

Sorry but I can't vote this hot. No problem with the device itself, I use them, but mine were only £31 in a December lightening deal. I know a bunch of people will use the worn time machine phrase but I still can't bring myself to call these, at £20 more than I paid, a great deal....

A fair comment on the historical price from ST.

I'm in the market for something like this but by no means am I in a rush. it's good to know that this price is good but they do tend to go for even less every now and then.

So they were £31 for an hour (or less, depending on stock levels) in December, and that makes this a bad deal. I'll have to nip in to my local independent electronics shop and ask them to sell me a Sony 40" 4k TV for £99 because they had one for sale at that price on the opening day of their post Christmas sale, so that's all they're worth now.

Do you detect a hint of sarcasm?

Thanks Op I appreciate the tip off as I've been considering a second set after purchasing a year ago. The performance on these put WiFi to shame X)

Don't know why people get so angry about people voting cold (or just not voting hot), there are two buttons for a reason you know! Just mentioned the price they were for comparison so people could view this price in light of the lowest they have been (that I am aware of, they might have been lower still at some point). I never said £50 was a terrible price for these, it's OK if you absolutely have to have them this second but for anyone that can wait that is what I would advise.

For me a 'hot deal' is something special you don't see every day. This price is just the everyday price Amazon normally charge IMHO, ignore the RRP they are always extremely optimistic and rarely the price these things actually sell at.....

Well whether it's your opinion doesn't matter in this case, because this is NOT the normal price Amazon charges. I had been after a second set for long enough and couldn't find them anywhere near this price, including Amazon.

Try telling that to everywhere else selling these for over sixty quid.

Expired, now £64.99.
