Trying to figure out if this will work well with a Note 10.1 2014. Seems a good deal.
Anyone got one? I have two tablets and a WiDi laptop to connect, curious how it handles multiple devices being paired.

Thanks for sharing.

miracast.co.uk/tab…tml this is the miracast website which confirms the Note 10.1 2014 will work.

Not seen anything to suggest that multiple devices dont work - they just say to switch TV over to the relevant HDMI channel after connecting. Mine is been delivered today and i'll be testing this out tonight

tempted to buy this for the bedroom to stream movies to the tv instead of using xbmc. I'm sure there's an iPad app that'll work just fine.

Thanks for the link. I will think on it for the day. Have only just got the Logitech Bluetooth audio adapter which is brilliant for music.

Actually, just doing a bit of research...is Miracast Androids version of AirPlay? I can't see that Apple products would work with this?

Nothing I've seen suggests it will work with Apple. I think you're on the right track with it being AirPlay for you.

Good price for these, I have been playing with miracast since I realised it was built in to my telly. Android devices play very happily with it (Settings/Display/Wireless Display), and once paired connect very easily.

I have found Windows 8.1 works fine once paired, but then won't reconnect. Have to remove the connection and re-pair, which only takes about 20 seconds but is still a pain.

Once set up, it is a very handy service, and allows stuff like streaming Hulu or other streamed services to your TV. Not a gamer myself, but apparently Miracast has too much lag for anything serious.

Had to upgrade the wifi card in my laptop, and at the time this was the cheapest option

This seems infinitely better than Chromecast to me, much more flexible.

FWIW there is a Raspberry Pi project (piracast) to act as a Miracast receiver (needs a specific Wi-fi dongle, around 8 pounds), so if you already have a Rpi and don't mind a bit of hacking, that might be worth checking out.

Cheers Harry but I don't have the right wireless for it and am hoping for a simple family friendly solution.

It works fine with my Note 3 so I assume that it will work with your Note 10.1 without any problems.
