Only Panasonic support these adapters.

Got the TV - no idea if this is any good or if I need it BUT seems too good to pass over...... Got a Netgear router anyway.
Even the Refurbs on Ebay are £19, so hot.

Their are some Virgin Media Versions on Ebay for about £9 delivered, which should also work.

They are the same, except Instead of the Model No: WNDA3100 v2, the Virgin ones are Branded Virgin and have the model No: WNDA3200 but they are apparently identical except for the exterior / branding.

Just search Virgin Netgear Wireless Adapter on Ebay

Santa delivered me a TXP42S30B - NICE! I then ordered the virgin media WNDA3200 dual band usb adaptors (friend wants one) only to find THEY DO NOT WORK!!! BE WARNED - when you plug the unit into any of the USB ports a message pops up saying USB device inserted and NOTHING HAPPENS! Unless someone can, if possible - re-flash the dongle - I will selling 3 adaptors (but the way they are brilliant dual band wi-fi 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz dongles when used on a PC) so i have ordered one of the 3100 - fingers crossed!
HEADS-UP!:(

Usually dispatched within 4 - 7 weeks. Items for dispatch to UK will be sold by Amazon's Jersey Merchant, Indigostarfish.com

did you update the software of your tv before trying virgin dongle?

Hi mario2001

I did update the firmware - my heart was in my mouth until it rebooted safely! Still no joy - I even tried an old belkin 54g usb and this wasn`t even reconised as being plugged-in! Also cant you use a wireless AP using the ethernet socket which could draw its power from the USB socket? This will be my next route if this 3100 don`t work!;)

I have the current model Panasonic BTT270 3D Blu Ray Home Cinema with Viera Cast and a USB Dongle input.

Ive just ordered a Virgin Netgear 3200 dongle on Ebay and i will let you know how i get on as soon as i get it.

Perhaps others can also let us know how they get on with the Netgear 3100, so we can be sure what works and help others with Panasonic Viera Cast/Connect Blu Ray Players or TV's.

The way to use Amazon is to look at the list of others sellers on the right - you will see this deal but it is now "out of stock" so they have give you this option.

I'd be really interested to know if these Virgin ones do work, so if someone who ordered from ebay could post back here that would be great. From the reading I've done it seems to me that they won't - see here: seems there's a v1 and a v2 of the adapter and only the v2 works with Panasonic.
And what we have in this thread is the following:
WNDA3200 (Virgin model) = WNDA3100v1 (identical product/chipset, just rebranded)
while
WNDA3100v2 is the one that works with Panasonic TVs (different chipset)

Unfortunately Netgear don't make it particularly clear that there are two versions. It's completely official that they are supported (see netgear.com/wifitv) but they don't mention the v1 and v2 difference unless you look at the details here.

Hoping someone can prove me wrong..... thanks!
I bought the eBay Virgin-branded WNDA3200 and can confirm that it does not work in my Panasonic TX-P42G20B.
The TV recognises that a USB device has been plugged in, but it doesn't see it as a valid wireless device.
Worth a go at £7, but sadly no cigar.

I tried the WNDA3200 into my Panasonic BTT270 Blu Ray Home Cinema and it does not recognise that a wireless adapter is connected.

Now has anyone had any sucess with the Netgear 3100 from this deal or is it only the 3100 v2 that works?
Edited by: "alexandercooper" 31st Dec 2011
I received my WNDA3200 units today. I don't have a Panasonic TV to try them with but I can at least report that after installing the software internally stored on the stick (this shows up as being in the CD ROM drive when looking in My Computer - Windows 7 could not find any driver including online) it is working really well. It has destroyed my previous wireless-N PCI adaptor for speed.
