I bought these a while back at £199 (Black Friday, maybe) and they are very good.

Yes, you need to set the SuperHub to modem mode and then connect it to the Orbi base station on its WAN port.

You still need to pay monthly for internet from BT, Sky, etc. This just distributes that broadband wirelessly throughout your home for an additional one off cost for the hardware.
cheers guys
I bought the NETGEAR RBK50-100UKS shortly after its release and for the first 4 - 5 months it was fantastic.

Then Netgear started releasing firmware updates in response to customer feedback. Since then I have had nothing but problems with dropped connections and slow throughput speeds. So for the last 4 months it has been a nightmare. Seems strange but its hit or miss as to whether or not you are affected with these problems. (my internet is pretty much rock solid and only some connected devices are having problems so its the router causing the problems).

Some users seem to be unaffected whilst others have totally unstable routers.

I would advise anyone considering buying these to spend some time on the Netgear Orbi Forum pages to get an insight to the potential problems.

Good luck.
