cba checking but yesterday these were cheaper at kikatek and scan (123 and 158 iirc)

Not as good as previous Ebuyer deal I bought as that had a FREE 2TB aI should have bought a couple :-(

I wouldn't call this a deal, pretty much everywhere have been selling these with an extra drive for this price range for around six months now.

Yep, this is a pretty standard price now, obviously aside from them idiot companies that try to rip people off.

Personally I reckon it wont be long until these units get discontinued, as the Intel chip set NAS's price starts to decline, plus the intel chipset NAS's can transcode and do a bundle of other things that these cant.

As brilly says, better off buying the 2110 from Kikatek and claiming the free drive. I got next day delivery for the cheapest delivery option from them (lucky?) and free drive from Netgear within a week of posting claim form.

They have new units coming out very soon and already available in US but they will come at a price and these are good devices.

I'm less than impressed with the noise and performance of my ReadyNAS Duo - (yeah I know you can replace the fan or add more memory). The wife complains about the noise (she's early to bed and can hear it through the walls) and although I don't expect more than 3-4MB/s on wireless G and 11MB/s on 10/100 ethernet the 5-6MB/s it achieves backing up to local USB storage is pitiful.

I guess this is an OK price though.

£161.99 + £2.29 delivery = £164.28 including 1TB drive (and another free from Netgear) at CBCcomputers.co.uk

Anybody any experience of dealing with CBC as this seems like a good deal to me. I've been looking for a NAS (with a view to getting a Squeezebox Duet) for a while and I'm about to commit to this...
