The hardware is okay, but the software (mobile apps) are aweful. The technical support is woeful and just read from a script, no technical knowledge of the system.

Recently they had a complete outage which meant the apps, web etc. were completely down. Users couldn't arm the camera's, view any videos captured and weren't getting any notification. About 14 hours after it being report by users, Netgear posted on their forum that they were aware there was an issue.
There is currently an issue which has been on going to more that 24 hours, users are unable to change the mode (arm, disarm, etc.) This is a worldwide issue and no update from Netgear. Their support just ask you to reboot the system and your phone, which obviously doesn't work.
Thanks for the info. Has helped me make the decision not to buy ;-)
Have 2 base stations and 5 cameras all working 100%

Seem your right..cant arm mine or see live feed.
Installed 3 cameras without any problems. Minor point is the detection does not work from behind glass therefore if monitoring outside, the camera needs to be outside.
I bought, I installed, I returned them.
Ok it’s 720p which is probably fair enough. Though range wasn’t as good as I hoped, damned if I was buying a second base station rather than being able to use my own stable WiFi setup.
Also one camera was constantly leaving the IR filter down. Giving daylight images a pink tinge.

If you really want to try these, they are always in stock for Amazon Warehouse Deal events and sub £200 at that point is common.
