Might not be the cheapest going but for £17.99 I like the look of these netgear powerline adaptors. 2 for £36 delivered is about as cheap as these things get I believe. If anyone has any tips on better types or deals please let me know. I am just looking at the alternatives for the XBOX wireless adaptor at present and this looks like a groovy option.

One thing that does look particularly appealing is that its as cheap as a decent twin pack to buy 2 of these and purchasing 3 if necessary doesn't break the bank either!

Happy shopping!

Hmmm - rather slow, I would think. How about these:-

They also have 200Mbps ones at a higher price.

Hello mate,

These are much better I believe....i've just took delivery of a pair and will be setting them up tonight.

I have the ebuyer 85mbps ones and get ~70mbps out of them. The 200mbps ones aren't 200mbps, they're 100mbps full duplex.

These ones in this deal are pretty slow, but more than fast enough for xbox live. The only time I'd say they weren't fast enough would be if you're downloading demos or videos or whatever and your net connection is faster than 10mbps. I'm one of the lucky ones, but the average in the UK is something ridiculous like 4mbps so for a lot of people these would be fine.

If possible, go for ethernet though. Homeplug isn't a patch on a nice gigabit home network.

Wow they are slow aren't they, didn't expect them to be under 20mbps.

This offer looks better too:

I like having the knowledge that its a renowned brand.

Depends what you plan on using them for I suppose....I went for the BT Comtrend pair as they where reviewed well and you don't lose a socket.(Plus 10% quidco through BT shop). Plus they are the cheapest 200mbps powerline adapters I've seen recently. Could only find 85mpbs adapters in this price range.

Like the look of these, and the reviews. I've ordered a set, will let you all know how they work when they get here. H&R for you!

I like the look of these from Play - are there any good vouchers around atm?

I have had BT Powerline 200mb adapters for a couple of years now and they are very good indeed! I comfortably stream HD content over my wired network with no jumping at all. I previously had 85mb ones and struggled to stream any video content at all

I have 4 of the BT comtrend plugs connecting 2 xboxes and a wireless print-sender. They are the mutts nutts. keep an eye on the bt shop site as they seem to sell them half price every other month, Mine were £39.99 a pair.
