I just put talc on the floor & stand in it with my magnum work boots on it does the trick : )

Yep saw this today in my local poundland - lovely idea

we make a stencil of reindeer prints and despite our kids being 15, 18 and 21 we still have to do it every year oO

I hope my two boys still want me to do it wen there that age, would be nice to think they would appreciate it and still want to be evolved in the Christmas spirit....

Ha Ha... Have done this with talc for years and a little piece of cotton wool on the edge of the chimney, like he caught his beard .
My kids are all grown up now but come home to hang up their stockings

Never thought of those ideas! Still can't figure out how all the "reindeer food" disappears! (It's oats & glitter and they sprinkle it on the lawn on Christmas eve - it's always gone in the morning!)
Don't begrudge indulging your older ones some of the fun festivities!

My folks used to get my brother and I to cut out arrows from old newspaper. Santa would apparently only put the arrows down once he'd been. Usually that happened to coincide with a long lie for my folks...strange that ;-)

just because it isnt real, does mean u have to stop believing

doesnt matter that santa isnt real, whats important is the spirit of santa/xmas makes people happy and uplifted even if there only pretending for there kids.

We tried this one year.....'daddy why has the snow not melted, and why is it not cold?'......'Because it's magic father christmas snow, now shut up and open your presents!!'

What a way to find out. Came here looking for cut-price beans, and you tell me this? What the hell?

It's not just "believing" its traditions and happy memories. We have a magic key that my daughter leaves outside and shouts out "ive left the key for you santa!" And we always have to watch the grinch(original) before we can open presents (hubbys wish). Would do this but daughter would be one of those but its not snowing outside! Voted hot though x

my parents used to stuff a pair of red tights and put black wellies on them then have them coming out of the fire place, I remember the first time I thought I'd caught santa leaving and left the room so he wouldn't take my presents away lol
