Descend Into The Shadows Of London Below

On his way to dinner with his fiance? Richard Mayhew sees a wounded girl on the sidewalk, and his efforts to help her will end the life he knows. The next morning he is a cipher, erased from existence and consigned to a subterranean world of danger and shadows.

One of the most acclaimed fantasy novels in recent years, Neverwhere was originally a six-part BBC television series. Rarely seen since its initial broadcast, this visionary tale was the first story written directly for the screen by Neil Gaiman, the prolific genius behind DC Comics' The Sandman series and the best-selling novel American Gods.

Nice spot - now I can finally replace my VHS version

A briliant series - showing its budget in places and the book is _much_ better but still well worth it.

Microsofts' new video streaming service has all of the episodes of this viewable for free. I didn't find it particulary watchable at their speeds, but it might be enough to sway the undecided....

This definitely shows it age now and lack of budget. For hardcore Gaiman ( Lenny Henry) fans only

I have the Absolute versions. :-D

I really loved this at the time.
But WOW it looks aged now.
It's got the same production values as the Sylvester McCoy Doctor Who episodes.
Actually, probably lower.
Looks like it was filmed on camcorders with a set left over from T-Bag and T-Shirt!

Might have to get it though as I have no way of playing my recorded off the tele VHS version!

Still love the Marquis De Carabas' awesome hair though.

Best Neverwhere fact I'm aware of is that the character of the Marquis De Carabas was played by Paterson Joseph who plays Johnson in Peep Show!
