Google products reduced in Argos! You must be the last person in the UK to know that!
I am tempted by the BT deal but the reviews are crap for this.

Appreciate your contribution thanks! I hadn't seen Google wifi on HUKD deals today...other products yes
I’ve got the first gen, do these work in a one mesh system regardless of system? Don’t fancy upgrading all four of mine
I was really looking forward to these until I found out the Pointer is still Ac1200 and not Ac2200 like the router

Yeah. Reviews show WiFi Point speeds as really poor
What is the Benifit of this system over a normal router?

If yours are the Google Wifi, then yes, the Nest Wifi is compatible. What you'd do is create a new network using the new Nest Wifi router, and add the new or old points to it to form your new - backwards compatible - mesh.

You can use it with two nest routers (or more). That way you get the faster speeds but also you can do Ethernet backhaul if you want.

You can’t do Ethernet backhaul with Nest WiFi as the points don’t have any Ethernet ports. You might be thinking of Google WiFi, which has one usable local Ethernet port.
39143718-fMlUE.jpgNest WiFi and Google WiFi on one mesh.. the software (Google Home) is pants though as one cannot set up port forwarding, DNS or IP reservation rules.

You can. I’m using it now. The point no Ethernet but the router has two. You can get two routers and use Ethernet backhaul.

Good point! Yes, it can be done if you use more than one router and avoid using the points or bundles.

Do you know if Google sell the routers in bundles at all?

I'll do the same in the future, the hubs have the benefit of 4x4 radios too rather than 2x2 in the points.
