I dont pay this amount and have the same deal through virgin and lookvat it this way, if i go out 1 night a mth i would blow over £50 easy so for me it works out cheap but expensive for others that wont use the full pack.

Worst justification I have ever seen....

This deal is actually quite good when you consider the SIM, I didn't even clock the sim until I read it properly, 500mbps internet is worth at least £50pm, sky movies and sports is worth at least £30pm, and the unlimited SIM card is easily worth £20pm..
Plus the extra v6 box + BT sports
The only downfall is the fact that it's Virgin, the TV experience is awful.

After cashback it’s £79 a month which is good for what you getting
Is the cash back just for new customers
This is why we have pay day loan companies and food banks.

This is very cheap when you consider that a high end iPhone contract costs just as much!!!!

An iPhone or all of the above, its a no brainer. I couldn’t justify buying this BUT for what you actually get I think its great value, especially if you get cash back. If this deal was broken down and itemised it would be eye watering.

Why?
Its everything i need, and others, at a price i think is good for what you get.
If you want a crap wifi at under 16mg pay your £20 or whatever but at least say why you pass that comment.
You don’t get Sky Atlantic for Game Of Thrones though
Im going for it, currently on a far lower package and im paying £96 a month, clearly worth the extra £3 if i can get them to do it for me
DigitalKnight29/04/2019 19:37

Im greedy and also have SkyQ so that base is covered
This deal is only for new customers as an existing customer I was quoted £130 a month think I’ll be switching to sky or cancelling and putting it in my wife’s name

This is worth it as no one on market can get close the virgin speeds, closest other openreach providers can go is averaging around 80mbs, end of the day you pay for what you get, pay peanuts get monkeys

Good point, but the Virgin Hub 3 is dog s###
Cool that VM have released 500meg, I'd still like to see them push it as FTTP where installed is utterly destroying it.

Sad they haven't offered it to Viva 350 owners

took an hour or so on webchat but my new kit is being installed in just over a week and i got the £99 deal as an existing customer #happydays
It seems like a lot but when you factor in all the sports channels and mobile sim its hot for me

Still have the ball ache of Virgin customer services when they decide they want more money for no apparent reason other than they are not making enough
If this were Sky i would snap it up. Can’t stand virgin tv interface

Did you ring them about getting this deal? Im currently in middle of disconnection and already had a call trying to keep me tempted to ring them back and ask for this.
Nice just rang them being a current customer who is in middle of disconnection asked to go on this deal and was told yes thats fine so quite happy considering i was after a new sim deal so worked out ok just need to settle with the 350mb increase for now until 500mb is available here shortly worth a call if your almost out of contract.

Yoyo'd between Sky and Virgin for years now, currently got Sky Q 2TB full shabangs with fibre max etc for £76 pcm. This is due to end this summer so will be giving notice to Sky if they dont offer anything decent to stay and going with Virgin again.

Had their VIP package which to be honest was fine, did what it said on the tin and from what I can remember we had no issues.
Took a bit of getting used to after years with Sky but the V6 is a decent box compared to the crappy Tivo one they had years ago.
The user interface is not as flashy as Sky's but does the job very well for what we wanted, on demand not as good as Sky though and Sky Atlantic was missing which was no big deal as I had Now tv in bedroom.

Had the 200mbs fibre which for most part of the 12 months was decent but the wifi from router was a little hit and miss reaching parts of the house especially the kids room for gaming.

What's happened to the just VIP pack as I'm not interested in the mobile sim, saying that with £250 TCB it's a no brainer

£99 a month?!

Just take out a £15 a month broadband deal and watch Freeview!

Watch less TV and the £84 a month you save a month, put towards a nice monthly treat for the yourself and family!

I’d rather have the family watch Game Of Thrones The Walking dead new Simpson’s and everything else rather than the load of droll that freeview has!

GoT and Walking Dead are definitely not suitable for ‘family’ viewing?!

Very true! Maybe I am just a really old fashioned 29 year old haha.
Until they stop doing the "after 12 months we'll charge you more for STAYING with us" practise I don't think i'll ever go back. TV was awful and engineers although numerous and never charged callout did not fix the TV stuttering issues. Quality control at Virgin is lacking and marketing is just plain confusing. Also consumer want upload speeds much more these days for sharing content / videos. i'd take a 100/100 (or 200/200) down/up service over a 350/20 service any-day!
Why is this cold? Seems fantastic value for what’s being offered.

I got it for £99 p/m this morning via webchat. Was previously paying £90 p/m for Sky Sports (non HD), 200 MB not 500 MB, no Sky Cinema, Talk Weekends not Anytime and a PAYG mobile not free talk, texts and data, so well worth the extra £9 p/m for me.

Been a long term customer with 3 months left to go on my current contract. I did say immediately that I have 3 months left to go and was thinking about cancelling but would re-contract immediately for this deal. Be warned, it took well over an hour via webchat to sort the whole thing. In future I'll probably do it by phone.

Just called them. I am 3 months into my existing contract and they are willing to change me to this package. The only downside is I still have 6 months on my SIM contract left and they wouldn't cancel that so I would end up with two SIM for 6 months.

Its a great deal if you are going to use the services. The 500mb broadband is obviously a gimmick, probably less than 1% of the population is going to use that much bandwidth. you can stream 4 x 4k streams at under 100mb. 35mb upload would be useful for some people. And how many servers can offer you data that fast anyway. They could make if 1gb download and virtually nobody would notice the difference.

Again with unlimited SIM, the vast majority of customers just aren't going to make full use of it so its easy for them to offer it.
Edited by: "oneman" 8th May
Id be interested if they gave option with no sim as not required and for less pcm. Apart from that it's half decent,
