its a new 8gb....speakers are house of technology...on shelf in asda at £27 but prob not worth it

I got a nano in the same offer for Christmas, speakers I wouldn't say really worth the £27 but sound quality not too bad, battery powered or you need to get a power lead for it (not included)

Given the current price of Nano's I'd say this is a bargain?!?!?!?

yep

Great deal even without the speakers and itunes card.

Excellent deal - wish I had £135 to spare ;-)

Excellent deal, I keep changing my mind on whether to get the 8gb (for which I have the money) or the 32gb (which I don't quite have the money for yet) though. Was there a deal on the 32gb in Asda as well or just the 8gb?

Sounds as though the 32GB & 64GB models have faster hardware. Larger capacity might also be worth going for considering the amount of media you'll be putting on it.

You might find this review interesting: trustedreviews.com/mp3…/p1

I'd personally go for the faster one, after using the 3GS iPhone for a while it's definitely a considerable improvement, but on a touch it may not feel like it's worth it. The space is definitely helpful though!

Thanks, seems the 32gb is the way to go. I'll ring Asda tomorrow and see if they have any offers on them - I guess they probably would do if the 8gb is on offer.

anyone bought it?

There weren't any iPod Touch's left at Asda Leyton Mills, London.

Did you ever find out if there was an offer for the 32gb version?

In my local Asda, it was same type of offer for 32GB iPod touch.

Standard price for the 32GB iPod touch (£227?) with free £15 iTunes card + speakers

Where did you see this??

No, shown as £147 in Norwich on shelf, but sold out. No mention of the addon voucher etc.

Bought an 8gb iPod Touch yesterday from Asda in Dartford (Kent). Priced at £147 on the shelf but charged £135, which was nice
