** Bonus Windows 10 Tip **
Microsoft decided to make every PC running Windows 10 as their update server which technically consumes your bandwidth and not a friendly feature for those people who are subscribed to an Internet Plan that has a daily data cap limit and could highly increase your Ping during gaming.

To turn this feature OFF, follow these given steps:
* Go to Settings in the Start menu
* Search for Update & Security
* Under Windows Update, open Advanced Options
* Under Choose How Updates are Installed, select Choose how updates are delivered
* Disable the toggle under Updated from More than One Place

Yes, with ease ... as long as office 2007 runs on windows 10, there is no reason it shouldnt, but i am erring on the side of caution

I would think W10 would run it. I've looked at some reviews and this laptop is not that great when it comes to performance, plus has oodles of bloatware installed.

Think I may go for a refurbished Argos lappy with windows 7.
Thanks for the Windows 10 tip OP
Thank you! After TCB and a £5 clubcard voucher I forgot about (which Tesco kindly reminded me about at checkout) comes to just over £241. Really good timing - unemployed, Hi spec but 5 year old laptop keeps freezing/shutting down etc, and if it goes I've got nothing to job search with and sell my accumulation of man gadgets on ebay with, ergo nothing to bring more money in! wait until I get a new salary before looking at the macbook air again (which I really don't need).

Libre Office you mean, which is a superior fork of Open Office.

Personally I would much rather the Haswell processor that we have here than the Bay Trail-M, not only is the Haswell faster but the integrated graphics is alot better too.

I'm using Office 2007 now with Windows 10, pretty flawless so far with Excel, Access and Word.
OK, for the price not amazing. But then again its a laptop not a PC xD
Great laptop for the price. Good specs to. Just wish things were at great prices when I am actually needing something.
Does anyone know if this is powerful enough to browse Internet, photo editing and music/movies?

Also can anyone explain how I can get an ssd drive in to this?

Is win 10 back to classic format or still tiles style?

Thanks
I was looking to buy a cheap Intel NUC or Gigabyte Brix with the same previous gen CPU/GPU but... once you've fitted memory and a hard drive, it's more expensive than this laptop deal, for instance, which additionally comes with keyboard, screen, portability, battery, Windows operating system licence, etc. Or put another way, I love the small size of the NUC and Brix and variants, that remains their strong suit selling point but... I can't quite square that, very similar spec wise, with... a deal like this. Or, digressional rant over, getting back on topic, I couldn't find a similar spec laptop cheaper, Hot.
Please dont buy this junk for your kid, be smart and buy something over 17" in order to not ruin his eyes.
the spec and price offer something which works better with win7 rather win10
sound is awfull, glare screen with ugly angles.yes, for a newbie this price is awesome but is a junk you will throw after less then 1 year.
having shared video with a dual core proc + less then 8gb ram it makes it a junk.100%.unless you will use it to play sollitaire.

Clearly the 17" did not help with your grammar.
I could not help reading your post in the voice of Mario " Lets A Go"!!

You have to remove all the screws at the bottom cover, 18 I think, then pierce the top cover from the body slowly by inserting a credit card in between, lift the top cover carefully as you have to remove 3 cables from motherboard and the top cover(keyboard).

Our 15 yr old Mac can 'browse the Internet, photo editing and music/movies' so this will easily, there's a lot of bulls*** spread around about computer specs.
