Even better if you have Tesco Clubcard vouchers and boost them before 30th December......
Was at £249 several months back. I got one and sent it back as the touchpad was dodgy. I believe many others experienced the same issue.

Either too sensitive, or too insensitive. Ie. It can take 10 swipes just to bring cursor from one end of the screen to the other. When too sensitive, its all over the place.

Guess I will find out, I'm sure this will just be a driver issue may even have been sorted in the Win10 update last week. Either way we will probably just use a mouse anyway.
Not bad spec, but not too keen in acer build quality

Yeh specs look good. Add another 40£ and you could get the HP 450 g2 with an i5

Agreed, the build quality of Acer is poorer compared to Toshiba or HP.

really? I had two acers in the past (albeit 5-6 years ago) and they were super.
is acer not what it used to be now?

It made me watch Redtube, when I explained it was the laptop at fault, the missus stopped hitting me with a frying pan. I was innocently looking for peas, I shall need to get my eyes tested at Specsavers after what I witnessed there. Have a lot to be thankful for really.

Main differences are:
CPU Pentium vs i3 (see attached for comparison)
Screen Size 17.3 (1600 x 900) vs 15.6 ( 1366 x 768)
Weight 3kg vs 2.4kg
USB 3.0 1x vs 2x

You know my opinion - CPU is important to me

could this not be tweaked in cursor speed setting?
