Apply for an Amex issued card via a cashback site or refer a friend or for a non Amex issued card via the relevant company (some of these may also have cashback).

I'd recommend starting with the Amex Platinum Cashback card. For info on it - americanexpress.com/uk/…rd/

* Get 5% cashback on up to £2,500 of purchases in your first 3 months of Cardmembership

* An ongoing 1.25% cashback on virtually every full pound you spend

* £25 a year fee - first year can be effectively wiped out by cashback for application or refer a friend. You can cancel after the year and move to the fee free version that pays less cashback, but is tired based on how much you spend.

That's why I recommend the fee based on for the first year (but use cashback or refer a friend to effectively cancel out the fee), then cancel and move to the fee free one above. In doing some myself and a few others I've known have received the 5% cashback for the first 3 months on both cards.
Thanks for the heads up OP. I now have 8 offers saved to my card.
Anything better than the platinum card, without being a celeb or millionaire?

Not quite touching the incredible 50 pound spend, 25 pound credit at House of Fraser and Harrods a couple of years ago. Relatively hot.
I also got an email from amex reminding me to use my amazon deal (didn't even know i had one!) Gave £10 off a £35 spend. I combined this with the gift card deal from amazon where if you buy a £40 gift card you get a £10 promo code!
Love my amex card and really looking forward to the Shop Small deal they have every December

Depends. Do you mind paying an annual fee or prefer not to?

£50 pounds for £50?! Bloody hell, obviously haven't had an Amex long enough! I loved the harrods one; me and the other half blew it all on the food hall and lived like royalty for the next 4 days!
If you can't get this deal then get a house of Fraser credit card, you get extra 10% off sale items.

Some amazing deals, but this might be slightly rose tinted though? Shell has had £15 off £50 and a £10 off £50. Sorry if I'm missing another.

£25 cashback on £10 spend at Argos? I remember £25 on £50 last Christmas - was there one offer more back than spent?
I want to cry, spent £699 with SAA just last week on my Amex!

Umm, has the flight gone up by £100+ in the last week?

Do you have the offer on your account? Where would you stand on cancelling and rebooking? Might be worth just having a chat with Amex customer service on the off chance they'd honour this.

Had a chat with Amex, the offer is only valid from now onwards. I'd lose more than the £100 if I cancelled with SAA and rebooked.

Unfortunatem but that is life I guess. Missing out on £100 is a big ouch though.
South African Airways. I would rather fly on a winning airline JAL or ANA
Anyone know what happens in the situation when you return stuff?
Great work morgie to keep us all informed the moment the offers show up - you are a rockstar, thanks buddy.
Thanks OP
please share the SAA link if you have it
