Amex the card that keeps on giving:

- £10 off £70 Argos is instore - for the first 7,000 to save the offer. You could buy various gift cards e.g. M&S, Next, Argos, Boots, Debenhams, House of Fraser

- £10 off £50 Hof instore and online - for the first 12,500 to save the offer.

- £25 off £85 Achica - for the first 10,000 to save the offer (would stack with codes - bit too early to work this one out)

Also have a new World Duty Free statement credit - £10 off £70 - stack with the £5 voucher as well if you spend £75 worlddutyfree.com/fre…her

Thanks.

Great, thanks

Automatically showing up on my supplementary card login too. Shame the discount is poor this time.

Good stuff, thanks

Thanks for posting. I'm not getting emails from Amex about these so the only way I am hearing is from posts here.

Just showing on one of mine and when I queried this with Amex the reply was that offers are tailored to spending patterns....well I'm not going to spend if there's no incentive am I.

Re Argos - anyone know if the Visa or Amex giftcards can be loaded up to a nominated amount (£70 would be nice)? Or do they just come in £25 denominations? I'm assuming a £2.95 fee per card, so it wouldn't really be viable buying 3 to trigger the £10 off.
M&S giftcards would then be the option, as we buy Xmas gifts from there and they could also be used to buy the £10 meal deals etc.
Pity they don't do Lidl or Aldi giftcards.

Brilliant, thanks!

Almost all third party gift cards (ie gift cards sold in one store for redemption elsewhere) are for fixed amounts.

Anyone know if HoF sell third party gift cards?

Once again these aren't available to Amex issued supplementary cards

Do you mean rom Argos? Amex did this deal last December but it was £10 back on a £50 spend, I got a £50 M&S giftcard but they did have other denominations. There wasn't a fee. I'm thinking of getting M&S again and using it for the Dine in Deals for the next few months :).

I don't need anything from HofF at the moment so I'm going for their giftcard and will put it away for their next discount week and then get Christmas presents with it, I'm glad I pop all my TCB and Quidco money into a different bank account so that will pay for it.

Got the Argos loaded onto my card. I was spending just over £60 this week anyway so this is great.
Pity the £5 voucher is not on as well.

Yes, from Argos.
I normally buy the M&S giftcards, but haven't looked at the Visa or Amex giftcards, due to the added fees.
But, if you could add a nominated amount, rather than a fixed £25 etc, then I could be tempted.
I'll check later.

It was £25 back on a £50 spend. I remember I got £150 of M&S cards for £75.....bargain

Not actually the best Amex offers. £70 quid in vouchers is also a bit risky if you don't need to spend them straight away.

excellent news, am about to buy a barbecue from there

hi does anyone have the direct link to register for supplementary cards? The ones below don't work :-(

I dont quite understand here. I have a Amex Platinum cashback credit card. Everytime I use amex connect website, it says my card number is not eligible for the offer. I can only register through cardmemberoffer.co.uk website for offers, however this website doesnt seem to have the latest offers, ie the offers listed on this dont show up. Post office offers show up a week later on cardmemberoffer.co.uk compare to amex connect. Does anyone know why? many thanks.

thanks. got it.

off to argos.

Interestingly the offers were on the Amex android app, but not the Amex web site

This cashback almost brings these retailers' inflated prices down to a reasonable level. Almost.

Yes not available to Amex issued supplementary cards or even Amex issued cards unless showing as available within your online profile. Seems a little unjust.

does anyone know if I can use two amex cards to purchase one item at argos?

Agree, totally!

After numerous attempts, I finally got one for Argos. Shame there is no more Miele in Hornchurch! If only I could get through to Amex yesterday, I would have a yellow Miele . giving me the delusion that I have arrived. Owner of a Miele!

Try telling the cashier to use one card for part payment and the rest with another card. This is not something new. May not work! But that's what a lot of people do when they pay part cash and part card or two cards.

If the part payment approach above fails, just purchase 2 (or 1) x £70 giftcards and pay with them, topping up with a card payment etc if needed.

Don't forget to activate the 1% Topcashback on card offer for Argos spend over £50 - https://www.topcashback.co.uk/oncard/offers/

I tried to add a new Amex card the other day and didn't look like they were allowing it, ok for cards already saved though.

When I had AMEX some time ago I always had a problem on places that accepted it, as I believe they (American Express) charge the retailer a lot more than VISA or MASTERCARD for the priviledge. Only large stores or petrol stations would accept it and got embarrassed when refused, so gave it up.

Bought a baby monitor from Argos a few days ago:(

Just buy it again with this offer. Then take the new un-opened item and return it for a refund using the previous receipt.

Not very impressed this time. £70 is a big Argos spend in my book.

Amex is the best cash back card at the moment, but it's not widely accepted. Check if they accept it.
