Got these in the Fenwick sale (£330) back in July. Use them with an ipad mainly, they are a a must when watching Netflix or Disney+, the spatial audio is well executed (just like you're in a cinema), it's a unique experience.

The sound is so well balanced and detailed (including low end bass), definitely the best sounding (ear candy to me) wireless BT headphones I've experienced (I've owned quite a few BT headphones including Sony xm3). The ambient mode is impressive, literally like you're not wearing headphones.

Has premium build quality, with the aluminium cans, the crown and mode button are a delight to use and has fabric cushions so you don't sweat. I think the only not so good things are that they are heavy and for some people can be tiring to wear for long periods (not that bad for me though).

They also tuned for Apple products, so you get more features and sound better than with an Android phone (speaking from experience as a Samsung user). I've still replaced my Sony's with these. Definitely reasonable for this sort of price (the normal RRP is too much) (edited)
Would strongly disagree with you in regards to sound quality. I've owned a pair of these for a few months and at this price point I would say they are below average. Bowers & Wilkins aswell as Bang & Olufsen have a much better range which provide better clarity and more detail in the music. They've been in the business for decades and are well experienced. Anyone considering getting airpods for sound quality really lack understanding of what premium audio and high res is.

No high quality music support for £550 headphones, even at £340 and only an ok microphone is a joke

Why would the average music listener pay so much?

Apple tax is bad but not as bad as the wheels or stand is the only upside here (edited)
Are they really aimed at the average music listener though?

I'd assume the first port of call would be the standard AirPods for most people maybe AirPods Pro, I still see a lot of people using the default plug-in ones they used to give you for free to be honest. (edited)

These are fantastic, the sound was top notch but I found that they "gripped' my head very tight - I found they left my jaw sore after wearing them for awhile.

Doing a quick google search found others who had the same issue, very odd as I loved them but it was just a bit much for me.
Same experience for me, amazing sound but after 30 mins the discomfort kicked in

I believe everyone that they are very good but the original RRP is craziness. I agree with others that you could look into Bose, AKG, Sennheiser etc. which for most of us do more than what we would expect anyway.

Don’t get me wrong I like apple products but this is extraordinary expensive for what it is.

no idea, given how terrible they are and the problems with battery drain and the like. Hopefully a v2 will be significantly better.

Honest question, and not having a go at people who are Apple followers, but are these actually any good? At that RRP, are they any better than say, the Sony XM series? Like 3,4 and 5.

Just wondering if it’s just mugs that pay so much for these? Or are they really amazing?
For the money....go with the xm4

How are these in terms of sound quality compared to AudioTechnica M50 headphones?
  26. Avatar
If someone loves music don't buy these headphones. I returned them after listing just one song. for £300/£500 you can have such an amazing sound. OFC no ANC.
  27. Avatar
Great headphones. I payed full price for mine and don’t regret it. Heat.

I can’t believe all the negative comments for these….I love mine, I don’t regret buying them one bit! I was sceptical because of comments about condensation in the earphones, them being too heavy and uncomfortable to wear but this is not my experience at all. I happily wear mine for 8 hours a day, they’re really comfy, look amazing and the sound is incredible. If you’re on the fence just get them!
They are fantastic headphones, but if you are open minded and not tied into their ecosystem then there are smarter choices.

Not expensive enough. Should be £999

By far the best all round headphones I've ever used, much easier to switch between multiple devices than my XM3's, way more comfortable, can literally leave them on my head all day which is a first for me usually get sore ears eventually. The transparency mode is absolutely crazy, literally sounds like you took them off. Noise cancelling is on par with if not the best out there.

Very happy, thanks OP. These would be a mega seller if not £550 RRP imo.
