lots of user opinions here neogaf.com/for…+tv

consensus is mixed, general feeling is overpriced and brings nothing new, of course that will all change if it can be jailbroken

Cold. Not a deal.
Why oh why was this not UHD
About £100 overpriced.

Better option would be a mini pc.
I bought mine from Apple for £129 and its amazing, so much better than my old Apple Tv. The Siri remote is brill :-)

"jailbroken" so apple are so fancy even unlocking their devices has a BS term, jesus h christ.
Good deal, i would go with the 64gb version if you are going to download many games and apps, with the plex app available its a good quality streamer.

Pretty sure you can't get a mini pc for £29? Maybe a raspberry pi? Even so!!
Thanks went for 64gb
Kids will be happy they can now play Crossy Road on the big screen.
Got mine yesterday and last improvement on the previous version and Plex have released an official app for it today which you can have BBC iPlayer on a channel so that can be added. Crossy Road id great on the big screen as is the Maths teacher for the kids. Netflix searches come up on Siri which is cool.

Who says it wont do 4K over the USB-C port in the future.
Apple already sell a USB-C to displayport adapter for the mac book air.

No NOWTV app yet.
TV Player APP is available which has about 85 channels (UK content)
Iplayer is coming.
Multi player crossy road is excellent on a large screen.

Lack of true DLNA support is a killer. Only allowing itunes home sharing is a pain. Hoping plex/ VLC fix this.
No optical digital audio out.

No But you can get many capable Android sticks circa that price range and for £60+ you can get mini pc which overall has much more functionality than this.
Ordered cheers op using £65 boost and will flog it on
Anyone with family sharing enabled. Typing in passwords on the siri remote is a pain. I wish it had a finger print sensor.

If you don;t know what the term means, please don't try to use it. Jailbreaking has nothing to do with unlocking. Unlocking is the process used to unlock phones from any carrier restriction that's placed on them.
Jailbreaking is the ability to install "Apps" and "tweaks" on a system, potentially adding functionality.
Most systems have some kind of restriction on them. Be they Android, iOS, Windows, etc.
