No good to me the steering wheel is on the wrong side?
Is the depreciation going to ramp up and, get ridiculous on cars like these? Especially being diesel.

Happy to be proven wrong, but as this is the pre-facelift I believe the interior is not as per the image. This will have the old (laggy) sat nav. If this doesn't bother you then it is a good deal as you can only secure circa 20% off the facelifted version. Bear in mind though that any additional saving now should be considered against the lower value when you come to sell.
Looks like a great deal. Look at it this way, it’s a very nicely specced cars there. And even if it’s only worth 50% (£24k) of the full purchase price after 3 years, saving the bulk of that up front makes sense and only losing ~£8k over 3 years is unheard of on a desirable brand new luxury convertible.
Tempting but I'm not gonna become a hairdresser just so i can buy this car.

You will never get 40% of list when you sell this. I speak from experience with a 2016 plate that I sold last year.

Few years ago my wife had an A4 cario with the 2.5l V6 TDI. Loved that car!

This is not a luxury convertible, and you're not gonna get £24k for this in 3 years time.

Depreciation is already silly, go check out how much a 2017/18 one costs on Autotrader £20-22k for same MY car. If you add in the interest payments on the PCP you'll have lost about £13k in 2 years.

What was the car in question and what were your figures (list, purchase, sale) prices? And did you trade it in or sell privately?

I have the same gen satnav and there is nothing laggy about it. In fact the whole infotainment system is far and away the best I've ever used. Many reviews think the move to a touch screen in the latest A4 is a backward step
The new screen is also huge, it’s like having a 12” laptop permanently on top of the dashboard.
Great top notch car and spec.

Seems as if they've priced themselves out of the market and, leasing's becoming the only option for people to drive a new car.
SteHuz9009/02/2020 10:38

Why?

The commonest complaint is the engine sounding terrible, but normally aspirated petrols are a rare thing these days. I'm sure Audi will have some fake sound piped in and plenty of sound deadening to cover the clatter of its 4 pot diesel.

I really cant see a brand new car with a decent engine clattering this side of 4-5 years. What about the new S6 turbocharged V6 diesel? Diesel aren’t done yet and it will be a few years before they are.
Great as a 'sunny day' 2nd/3rd car but a 4 seat fabric convertible isn't a good everyday car in my experience. Awkward entry/exit from rear, extra maintenance for the roof fabric, noisier, poorer visibility, etc.

Different tack I know but I just bagged a high spec, low mileage, 1 owner, 200bhp petrol VW EOS for £3.7k with full VW service history as a plaything. Opening glass sunroof, metal folding hardtop and four full size seats. It's already taken its big depreciation hit so my conscience is free. Cheap insurance too. Loving it!

DIESEL is dead long live PETROL
Face it DIESEL motors are hard to sell now and the dealers are trying to get rid of em and leave the problem with us, no thanks.
The list price on this is a joke!

You can get a 2017 with 12k on for £24k that depressiation is crazy
The clincher is does it have the fancy indicators? The only thing I like about the Audi’s

It's still quite jarring to see them in action because so few of the drivers ever use them. They look really cool but I'm lucky to see them used on the road by say 1 audi every 2 weeks

So imagine how much it would be if you did 40-45k miles in 3yrs. It would probably reduce to 20k. Therefore losing about 12k. 4k per year.
