take the N off and they're £9.99 in Aldi/Primark

Redundant comment, they'll never match the quality and comfort of New Balance

Some Fila ones as …Some Fila ones as wellhttps://www.offspring.co.uk/view/product/offspring_catalog/1,22/3209611645

I picked those exact ones up from JD sports just before Christmas for £15, by February the leather had split where the toe bends.
Not a quality product.
I think unless you buy made in the usa or uk ones these will be poor quality never again would i buy a pair.
Anybody know if these are good support on your feet when running? I had some basic Nike ones last yr and ended up with an ankle injury. Ouch. X

Although the 997s were originally designed as a sporting shoe back in the 70s, this current generation won't be. This is more aimed as fashion trainer over performance.

Check out the New Balance website under the 'running' category to get an idea of which styles are better suited.

No they wont, but Primark don't charge £75 for a pair of trainers (the normal price of these). Even the few 'made in USA' models are not exactly made there, more like 'constructed' (with imported soles from China, etc).'

They do make some good shoes, don't get me wrong, but plenty of very ordinary ones also.
I'm lucky enough to live near the da Tory where these are made and also get 60% off.Brilliant trainers and last ages. The pair I wear everyday are two years old and still going strong.I prefer the 574s for comfort but these are a steal for the price.
That is one ugly trainer. I like some New Balance too.
They’re a bit girlie.
Stop at 9 .. gutted!!
Can somebody help me out with ( nike.com uni code ) please:)
