I normally take size 7 in a shoe. I have tried size 7 in New Balance and they went on but found them too tight. Is it better to go a 1/2 size or a full size larger??

Cheers to op

ordered.................

oh , I could buy this for my bf

I ordered some last time a deal came up and they were quite a bit too small at 9.5. I have ordered this deal at a 10 but would have gone for a 10.5 if they had those in stock. I think they always measure up small - defo go for size larger (or 1/2 size).

Bought, thanks

For those who require an indication on what shoe size to order, my normal shoe size is 8 wide, for Adidas trainers size 9 and for New Balance 9.5D. The company produce four different width sizes AA (Narrow), D (Medium), 2E or EE(Wide) and 4E or EEEE(Extra-Wide). Remember your feet expand especially after strenuous exercise, so sometimes it best to have extra room then having tight fitting trainers. If in doubt goto a sports shop and try them on!

If in doubt, order both sizes and use amazon's free return service to return the one that doesn't fit.

Likewise - I go through running shoes pretty quickly, so £17 a pair for 2 pairs should last a few months!

Size 12s are £50

Yeah I used to run with a random pair of trainers I bought off the tinternet after seeing them on hotukdeals. Ended up with sore feet though.

I think its worth going to a proper running shop (not decathlon), have their experts analyse your running gait (treadmill with a camera behind) to discover if you are an over or under pronator (and for a very few neutral) and buy from them accordingly. You can always hunt down the same pair online when you are ready for another pair.

I think you would be best off buying a pair designed for the court, even if it costs more you more than this deal, remember you only get one pair of feet so don't wear footware thats unsuitable just to save a bit of cash.

I don't play tennis, but the way I see it your not just moving forward whilst playing tennis, it involves quick changes of direction, movement from side to side and you are also stopping yourself suddenly quite regularly. Running trainers are designed for a forward motion.

Is it possible to analyse your gait based on the wear on your current shoes/trainers? My soles always wear on the outside edge of my heal. I read you can stand on a tiled floor with wet feet and you can tell quite a bit based on the foot print you leave. I am doing a one-off distance run later this year, need some running shoes, don't wont to go to a specialist shop though (too far away/can't be bothered/too busy).
