Until they stop supporting their phones with updates. They seem to have a shorter update policy than others.

Seems OK but unfortunate name. I'm sure it will be given a nickname such as the turd!

Black KEYone is £445 if you want a keyboard.

Don't fall for this rebranded Alcatel. Look at the buttons - same as the cheapest alcatels out there.

Hopefully things will improve now they've figured out the licensing situation. The Priv and others felt a bit like beta phones.

my thoughts exactly, but at least the motion is IP67 splash resistant....

Looks like a nice piece of kit for the price. Always loved blackberry since the Bold 9000. Lots of useful features in the software that you don't find on others.

Why cant they they make some of their classic basic keyboard extensive battery models in the past

Could you go for a Motion on the Priv? Or would that just be taking the ****?

Not worth £300 and odd quid at all.If you want a Chinese designed & made phone with a western brand slapped on, at least buy a Nokia.

Aren't Nokia phones designed by HMD Global which are a Finnish company?

I'm sure they will be manufactured in China but so are most phones.

Really?

Proves you have no clue what you are saying and you just say what you think and make that a fact which you can beleive in and convince others that you are not faking it. I dont even understand what i said there 🤣

Blackberry phones are not Alcatel phones dummy and Nokia is not produced by a Chinese company but Finnish company. And dont get me started on being made in China. Every thing is made in China these days.

BB phones are made by TCL. TCL make Alcatel phones.

Its like saying Apple iPhone X phone screens are made by Samsung, so would you say Apple iPhone X is made by Samsung!!!!!

Many companies around the world make things for other companies. That doesn't mean their identity changes. What a stupid thought

Technically they make TCL phones and licence Alcatel logo for mobile communications use only, Lucent-Alcatel merged and got out that market.

Further TCL 2018:

TCL acquired Palm from HP 2015 and Palm are making a comeback in Q1 2018. Web OS may not be dead, unless Palm badges more Andys (bored).

Alcatel may well end up being the budget basic feature mobile phone range (it sells very well v smartphone)if Palm can revitalise itself as thee smartphone division within TCL, the question is Web OS or Andy...

As much as i loved webos it seems too long to me to bring it back sadly.

It would take a massive company to really push webos for it to get any reasonable market share IMHO.
