Sell the Play:1 for £100 and put it towards a Play:One.

Or keep the play:1 and buy a echo dot - the speaker is the same but the microphones are better on the echo.

The old Sonos Play:1? Are they serious?
Not such a hot deal as the monthly price has gone up to pay for these new gifts.

I'd have rather had lower monthly rental and the £30/£50 amazon card which was on offer previously.

What's so great about the 'new' Sonos One? Have multiple of both around the house, and everyone here prefers Play:1s with a few strategically placed Echo Dots, to Ones. The far-field mics on the Ones simply don't work as well, especially when music is already playing. The Play:1 remains a great product.

Friends used a similar deal last year and appeared to work as advertised. Happy with the broadband and now have a Sonos speaker.

Yep, new one would have fit the £199 price limit. Maybe GoPro wanted to be top dog this year.

Good deal if you can get the gopro, not so good if they sell out and you get the echo
My father signed up to this deal last time they offered it and never received the free gift despite multiple calls to their customer service...
I signed up a few weeks ago! Do you think I can still get it ?

Me too. Hasn't been installed yet but don't fancy the hassle of cancelling re-ordering 😔

its says acivation fee or one off fee £60.....
Have had the most horrendous service with these guys, considering I actually have Vodafone mobile I am quite surprised how bad the fibre optic speeds were and the poor service. Had to force them to take me out of contract and move back to plus net.

They are saying not available in my area. I'm currently with BT albeit with fiber to home. Can they not do fiber to home?

Vodafone are an unbundled service provider (they actually use Cable and Wireless’ old back-end they bought a while back), so unless Vodafone have their equipment in your exchange they can’t offer their services to you.

so they are not using openreach lines? I have talktalk right now which is terribly slow, was hoping switching to vodaphone might help

They are using Openreach lines, it’s just when it gets to the exchange it’s then on Vodafone’s own back end instead of Openreach.

Put your town in and it'll show you what's available on your exchange

Went for this deal last time. Got the Play 1 and sold it for £170 (during the pay no more than £1 selling deal) on eBay. The broadband is £25 a month and I’m very happy with it.

Cut and paste shennanigans, thanks.
I've corrected my link too
I signed up to Vodafone yesterday, would I need to cancel and re sign up to get this deal?
Also, I'd like to add that my experience of Vodafone's Broadband product is a reasonable service let down by an awful supplied router. I was eventually released from my contract because the thing used to drop it's VDSL connection up to three times an hour at it's worst.

Their suggested solution was for me to buy my own router, which okay might have fixed it, but would've cost me a load of cash. The provided equipment should be suitable and do the job (they replaced the router 3 times in the end).
I signed up for Vodafone fibre about a year ago and eventually got the Sonos speaker. I actually signed up just before the promo started, someone from their customer services said I could still claim the gift which was wrong, however after 6 months of battling with them I finally got the speaker. Also got TCB to track at £100 which was good too!

Speed has been pretty good however evenings we notice a loss of speed. If its anything like fighting with bt last time about speeds I haven't got the time or energy to front it at the moment

Yes! I think you have 14 days or so to do penalty free. The quicker the better.

I'm with them and have had 2 wifi drops for an hour each in the last 6 months. other than that it's been absolutely perfect and would highly recommend them.
Had to push and push for my Sonus last year, however did eventually get it.
Broadband is superb.
I went for this deal last year and had a nightmare. Firstly my given activation date was pushed back by a month, 2 days before it was supposed to be activated, so waited about 7 weeks to actually get the broadband up and running.
Trying to actually get the Sonos speaker was like trying to get blood from a stone. In total I made over 12 calls (wasting about 7 or 8 hours of my life), to be finally told about 4 months after placing my order, that they didn't have any speakers and I wouldn't be getting one. Ended up being offered account credit instead, but was sick of fighting by that point so just took it.

I'd steer well clear and look for a cheaper monthly price package rather than a gift one
I signed up to this last year on the FTTC package. I received the Sonos "gift" without problem. It wasn't planned, but then FTTP became available in my area (which Vodafone don't offer) so I switched to BT after just a month and BT covered my exit fees of £220. No question of returning the gift

Good info. I'm on BT FTTP so i suppose ill be sticking to that
Do you have to return the gift when you decide to cancel after 1 month because their speeds drop to unusable levels outside of work hours, which is basically any time you want to use it

The price is pretty good with vodafone but I couldnt use youtube, netflix or amazon prime most of the time. Didnt pass for a fiber broadband service imo. Disappointing to have to go through the hassle of switching again.
can you get these broadband deals wherever you are in the country or is still done on an exchange basis where as most people only have a few operators sometimes just 2 at their local exchange ?

all exchanges should be opened to all broadband/telephone suppliers
I've have VF broadband for 2 weeks now speed to router is great 38mb however speeds to device is terrible between 11-15mb

Not happy will leave if not sorted in the next week under the 30day policy.

Yep, I'm paying £25 a month for the superfast 2 option.
Got this last year and got the Sonos:1 no problem, sold it for £130 cash to someone local and the service has been great, steady 41mb/s with not a single drop out. Even got £50 cashback from TCB.
