    These used to be 99p / £1 when on offer.......inflation for you.
    Yes I agree, shame about the offer price increase but it's a lovely soup and I don't mind paying the extra 25p. If you want a cheap tomato and basil one (which is vegan like the New Covent Garden Tomato and Basil), I highly recommend Tesco Plant Chef Tomato and Basil. It is canned rather than fresh but it's only 65p and very nice

    Lovely soup and vegan friendly with the tomato and basil one. Shame the vegetable one isn't due to the milk, but the tomato one is just what you need on a winter's night. Heat added OP

    it seems like even tinned soups are extorniatily priced now

    With the cheap vegetables available at the moment it's a great time to make your own soup. If you don't do much cooking it's an good way to get started, as you'll hopefully be impressed with how easy it was and how good the results are.
