Shame they've put in 2 x 4GB ram in there as it means they'll both go into the bin when you come to upgrade. That said, a 2 x 8GB kit isn't too expensive. I'm sure someone else will comment on the suitability of the GPU but overall it doesn't seem a bad deal.

Yeah, it was more on the price of this deal for the spec it has. If I bought it I would stick 2x8gb in it and try to sell the 2x4gb on ebay or keep as backup. This is the price range I would expect this spec to be in. So thought it would be a good deal to post
To be honest.. for most.. 8gb will be enough ram. The cpu gpu combo are not really good enough to warrant 16gb or more.
Anyone know if this sounds like a jey plane as it gets up to temperature?

What makes you say cpu/gpu combo doesn't warrant 16gb?
Wouldn't RAM requirements will be more linked to a user's pre-disposition to running multiple apps simultaneously.
Also lloyds and american express have cashback on spend too

That processor can accept 128GB of RAM, ark.intel.com/con…tml

the motherboard/bios probably 64GB.

I have similar spec, upgraded to 16gb ram, the gtx 1650 is pretty good. I get 60+ FPS on warzone which is quite intense on the components.
Extra £8 off or so with DANBIGSALE
but then miss out on the 4% Quidco.
..and what’s this £100 worth of gaming pack

????

You can always sell it on eBay. Even if they put 1x 8GB stick in there, it's probably going on eBay because Dell don't use the optimal memory for the system and it's better to buy a set with matching speeds/latency.

Besides, 8GB is plenty for a 1650
1650 and 10300H at this price is just okay IMO.
Shame delivery date so far away

Spec is basically identical. The code expired a couple of days ago but they've been on regularly for Lenovo over the last month or so. If you go via discounts for teachers (you don't have to be a teacher) you can currently get it for £630. But it's been as low as £560 by combining the teacher discount with a code.

My old 1.6ghz dual core laptop has 8gb of ram.. pointless as it wont run anything that comes close to using 8gb ram well.

The cpu and gpu will bottleneck before needing 16gb ram for most tasks.

There will be no need to upgrade to 16gb

This is also £600 atm with code PRODUCT5. It also has a MUCH better 6 core processor than this 4 core.
