Maybe yours suffers with the same issue.!
Lol , nice one
Looking for a decent laptop, for using Photoshop extensively - and not a great deal else really.
No but should smash Manic Minor
I wish they'd leave the CPU s as full fat i7s, these low power versions really are bottlenecked
It's got no issues with the keyboard as far as I know and its weight isn't that bad... just over 2Kg in its box.
I'd rather spend £100 more and end up with a GTX 960m based lappy.
will this play GTA V on half decent settings please?
Here is a working link if the provided link isnt working for anyone else -----> dell.com/uk/…/pd

I could cancel, can you point me in the direction for this GTX 960M for £729?
I doubt that laptop be less than 1" thick and weigh 2.5kg though. Ultrabooks are designed to be powerful and portable and will charge a premium for their thin and light design. If you want raw gaming power get a 17 inch 5kg behemoth, but this laptop would be ideal for Photoshop or autoCAD where gaming prowess is less important than raw processing power.
However you can spec the machine with a GTX 750 if you so wish.

I also have a 17 7000 and I hate it and will never buy from Dell again. They have massive quality control issues and their support is terrible.

Pretty sure it won't play it at All
If you want to run gta well buy a gaming desktop, a laptop just isn't gonna cut it.
Apparently the gpu can hardly handle this resolution anyway.
Totally incorrect. I have a dell 7537 with lower specs (Dual core 1.8ghz/gt 750m) and I can play GTA V at 1080p.
Price is still a bit high. When it hits below £600 I might bite. Thanks for posting!
Cheap financially, apparently you can always get the Holy Grail for an extra £100
Find an awesome Quad Core for £1,000 and you then get you can find the Holy Grail for a £100 less.
I just never seem to able to find the Holy Grail, maybe I should hold out for an i7 MacBook Pro for £599, but again someone will no doubt advice me how cold it will be because it's an Apple

I was hoping for other specs to be similar?
Looks nice, though battery life is very 2012 and it's an Acer - and there budget stuff isn't great. I have an Acer Ferrari One (somewhere) and tha was pretty well put together, though even looked after hinges failed after about 18mths.
People wanting to game well (60fps@full hd or better) are still best off served by a desktop. Even the best gaming laptops won't let you game for long without mains power. If you want to be able to move your rig from place to place, or have limited space, then have a look what can be done in some micro sized rigs.

That's the thing, it's always a balancing act. Great screen and processor on this dell or great graphics card on the Acer. Under a grand you always have to make a sacrifice. It all comes down to what you want to use it for. This Dell is amazing. I only posted link cos the original comment didnt have a reply
There is a video on youtube by Dave Lee and my god he makes this laptop sound bad. To summarise: really bad track pad, 3 hours battery life with light use, a very flexible screen meaning it warps and bends; during the 3 weeks he used the laptop it managed to warp so much that there is now a permanent scuff on the screen where it rubbed against its own arrow keys, gaming is basically a no go in 4k (not even counter strike could run well but that might be partly down to early drivers), the screen is highly reflective and the hdd is slow. I would cancel it m8 unless you are planning to use it as a desktop replacement and add a regular mouse. On the plus side he said the screen was good, it wasn't loud unless he was gaming, it can game at 1080p and that the keyboard and speakers were OK (this information is based on two reviews for this laptop on youtube).
probably to balance battery life looking at a U HD screen
