I am looking for new car deal at the moment and this one here I believe quite good. First of all it is 5 door, important for us because easy to put child car seat. Cheap to run, cheap to insure, cheap parts. Tried Colt on the same day and for some strange reason Panda feels and drives better, even 1.2 engine is not too bad.

You can get MyLife for £7.245 price includes 14" Alloy Wheels, Air Conditioning, Remote Central Locking and paint finish in Bossa Nova White.

If you know any other nice 5-door new supermini car deals, please post in comments.

I'm also considering a supermini and New shaped Panda Twinair is in my short list along with fiesta. Heat added!

The new c3 has 0% finance until June 30th, got mine for £10,500 with the finance which imo is a good deal. The model is the VTR+.
I'm also looking for a new car but French cars have had a lot of stick recently.

My friend has had the old model c3 since the start so now nearly 9 years and there has never been any issues with it, this is what gave me confidence, as well as test driving it against other cars such as the fiesta, corsa etc but obviously its down to what you prefer
I'll wait till the Grizzly model comes out.

Well thats not technically true. It's a PSA unit, just BMW put their box of bits together in Birmingham rather than France. The block is basically the same TU series one used since the 80's. The variable valve timing was developed by BMW they also took on the development of the turbo based prince units. But I can see why dealers would like to make customers think its a BMW engine.

While it will inevitably more reliable due to tighter tolerances, it has lost the characters that made the TU series so iconic. But times move on.

Fiat is Italian and it's even worse then the French 2. All 3 feature in the last 4 manufacturers list in the recent Autoexpress listing. This is an older listing on this LINK, but the same 3 feature on the bottom of the table

Good price though, 2 German cars probably would probably have this much spent on their extras, yet your almost getting a full car here. Almost.

Pandas are decent little cars, but the interior is a big step up on the new shape. Might be worth seeing what offers are on those too.

No, this is not finance only deal. Called my local dealer today and they confirmed it, only problem is that they all gone :). If you click Find My Local Dealer and then check website of one which is nearest to you you will find that they do one as well. Three out of four dealers in my area had this deal going on.

I have recently got a 500 twinair and I love it!!!

Its great fun to drive, and as the engine has a turbo (as all twinairs do) it pulls the car along well. For the performance the economy is very good, however do not buy it for the performance alone, you wont get anywhere near the suggested 70mpg, unless you drive like a saint with eco mode turned on.

As for the deal, great price and heat added!!! Fiats have become great, well made cars, and are good value compared to something like a fiesta, which have become pretty expensive for what they are. Don't believe the stereotypes that people post on here, when they have absolutely no experience of the product they are slagging off.

Recently?? They have been cheaply made for years! I had the misfortune to own a Peugeot years ago, it was only 18 months old, took it for a jetwash and a 6"x6" piece of paint flew off the rear bumper, build quality was very shoddy and the engine was pinking at 18k, never went for a French car since, not a generalisation, but Renault are a moneypit too. Anyway, not a Fiat fan, but have to say that is a cracking price for a 5 door brand new car.

The Panda came 93, but still ahead of several French cars.

It's all down to perception. A Kia owner is going to change gear religiously to save fuel and never stress the engine. I murdered my Alfa and killed 3 turbos. All replaced under warranty. I've probably killed the clutch outside of warranty.

I drove a Panda as a courtesy car a few years ago. I thought it wasn't bad despite becoming invisible in it. The Fiat 500 which is mostly the same was quite good as well, but it got lots of admiring glances from 30+ yo women.

A good deal if it was a cash price.
Just my personal opinion, but these cars are fugly. Hideous infact, and the interior is awful aswell.

It might be a good deal, but i still wouldn't buy one.

Thanks for the link, scroll down the page to manufacturer's rating and Fiat is 3rd from bottom, with only Vauxhall and Chevrolet under them.

As regarding reliability due to driving style I'm sure their will be some link but I remember I often drove my old VTEC Honda CRX up to the 9,000 rpm red line and that engine never missed a beat despite it doing almost 100,000 miles in it before selling it on.

Because it's a girl's car

One of the worst for child occupants. So if I were looking for a car for 'the wife' and kids,I wouldn't risk it. Plus it's the other idiots on the road you have to worry about, no matter how good a driver you think you are.
You can get a base model Chevrolet Spark for around £6500 - 5 doors and a 5 year warranty. I have had mine for 2 years now and its a good little car, and has done 30,000 with no problems whatsoever.
good price indeed. To be honest Panda cannot compete with VW Up or Seat Mii without cutting price.

These cars are pretty much the ugliest, most gutless cars I've ever been in. Terrible interior, poor safety results and those legendary fiat reliability questions round off what could be the worst car currently available to buy.

What do you think about the new panda that I'm considering to buy in a month or so (or fiesta)
