Good luck, this hasn't done well in the past! :w00t:

I use one of these at work - fantastic product. Good price here too, so heat left.

Showing as £65.18 for me right now.

I paid £59 back in december from Amazon, so not an amazing deal really.

Any 500GB ones?

and how can it been the worlds smallest 2.5 inch drive. Surely anything 2.5 inches is 2.5 inches you can't get smaller :P

Nice but shouldn't really cost anymore than £30

]maletwickenham I guess that they are refering to the housing for the drive not the drive itself!

Really? Are there any 320Gb 2.5" drives anywhere for £30? I've just paid £44 to Tesco for the 250gb...and I can take it back if there are better deals out there.

No chance of that im afraid, £30 for a 320gb 2.5" drive?? You must be kidding.

I wonder if there's any way to upgrade my 160gb iPod to 320gb, or if that's just silly.
Looking forward to the day I can buy a 1tb flash drive music player

Your iPod has a 1.8" drive inside, unless Apple has change the form factor. Toshiba announced a 240GB drive a few months back. Probably not worth the upgrade cost. Apple buys these drives in bulk and gets huge discounts, which you won't.

It is £ 65.18 not £ 61.97...

I got a WD My Passport 320GB from Pixmania for £65 delivered.

Same capacity as the Freecom one (320GB), but doesn't look like a ugly chunk of black plastic.
In white it nicely matches my white iMac.

The reason it is the smallest is because the usual SATA/USB interface PCB has been moved into the actual drive housing. Until other manufacturers do this then it will be smaller.

Much better to build your own imho.

Works out a few quid more than this offer but for those couple of extra quid you get some serious extra performance and warranty (See list below)

Faster & much better HDD (Decent WD 7k2 drive instead of rubbish Samsung 5k4 drive)
2X extra Cache (16MB Vs the Samsungs 8MB)
5X extra warranty (5 years instead of 1 (on the HDD that is but considering thats the only thing with moving parts that's more likely to go then the solid state HDD controler)
Only slightly bigger but still VERY small (Basically the size of the 2.5" drive)
